Could be coincidental or overblown but something to at least keep an eye on.
Internal resistance to Putin, UKR sabotage, false flags…all possibilities.

I heard it was the 13 guys from Snake Island who died, but really didn't, and then turned into 55 guys who really surrendered. It's those guys! The Ghost of Kiev is really the Ghost of Lolita Express. He's flying in the underage kids for abuse.

Anti-anti-Russians had already arrived at the conclusion that Ukraine’s war was an American plot to undermine Russia. “Is the purpose of the arms shipments to strengthen Ukraine’s hand in reaching a negotiated settlement to the conflict — a process from which the Biden administration and allied governments have so far held themselves aloof?” posited the leftist Branko Marcetic last week. “Or is it, as some U.S. and British officials have suggested, to turn Ukraine into an Afghanistan-like quagmire for Russia, weakening it and perhaps even triggering regime change, while sending a message to China in the process?”
...
Obviously, the United States wants to weaken Russia — because Russia is threatening Ukraine. The war will go on until Russia is too weak to continue waging war in Ukraine. This is perfectly obvious as long as you understand Russia, not the United States, started the war.
The trouble is, some people cannot understand this.

Disguised as Moldovan military but flying Romanian flags (unless I just can't see the Moldovan coat of arms in the yellow of any of the flags)? Suspicious.

I have no idea if that is actually an accurate photo, but nonetheless, if they invade, the guy was right. If not, he's full of crap.

How would a Romanian invasion of Moldovan/Transnistria be different from the Russian invasion of Ukraine?SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Tue Apr 26, 2022 2:22 pmI have no idea if that is actually an accurate photo, but nonetheless, if they invade, the guy was right. If not, he's full of crap.

Good question. I'm not sure as I've been trying to read up on the history. It's got a long history and I'm just not getting it into my head.UNI88 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 26, 2022 2:34 pmHow would a Romanian invasion of Moldovan/Transnistria be different from the Russian invasion of Ukraine?SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Tue Apr 26, 2022 2:22 pm

On the surface, it shouldn't be any different, but that's why I'm trying to read up.
Apparently they are under Russia's protection, but more importantly, they supposedly have a huge weapons cache Ukraine would like to get their hands on. The US/UK stuff is not making it very far as Ukraine supply lines are cut off.

Re: The Ukraine Crisis
Transnistria has Russian troops. I would argue that Moldova and its people are much more closely aligned with Romania. Given a choice between a Russia and Romania, they would choose Romania.SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Tue Apr 26, 2022 2:39 pmGood question. I'm not sure as I've been trying to read up on the history. It’s not an accurate photo. It says as much in the post that its a stock photo from 2016SeattleGriz wrote:I have no idea if that is actually an accurate photo, but nonetheless, if they invade, the guy was right. If not, he's full of crap.

Re: The Ukraine Crisis
I'm not buying a tweet talking about Romanian forces dressed as Moldovans that uses a stock photo from 2016. SG, please stop posting fake news from questionable sources.cx500d wrote: ↑Tue Apr 26, 2022 5:30 pmIt’s not an accurate photo. Re: The Ukraine Crisis
And hey, I don't doubt there will be violence/war in Moldova and the Transnistria area - Russia already has troops there and they've already been clear that they want to partition the whole south of Ukraine and likely into the Transnistria area anyway. If they are successful in Ukraine that will be their ultimate goal. Question is do they have the fuel to get that far.

Re: The Ukraine Crisis
This is a great read on the complexities of RUS-UKR history and recent relations and struggles. It’s written from an anarchist’s point of view.
https://voidnetwork.gr/2022/03/08/a-ver ... CAn8qAU6tEWar transforms everything – we are suddenly for or against armies, revolutionaries become soldiers, coalitions monopolize politics, patriotic fervor swells, and the party of order triumphs. When the Russian army invaded Ukraine last week, Putin claimed it was in the name of “denazification,” evoking the important role “anti-fascism” plays in the ideology of the Russian state. In the following text, published in Liaisons’ first book In the Name of the People, a friend from the region offers an account of revolutionaries involved in the 2014 Maidan uprising in Ukraine, along with considerations about the particular history of Russian “anti-fascism.”
