Two critical matters are at play. One is an overall matter of sovereignty and the concept of the primacy of American law above those of the rest of the world. But more recently a more over-riding concern principally has been the potential - if not likely - specter of subjecting our Armed Forces to a hostile international body seeking war crimes prosecutions during the execution of an unpopular war.
Point 1: The concept that American law is above all else is a problem. While the rights of US citizens should be protected, I think that matter falls into other hands if it happens outside the country or in ICC jurisdiction. Its like how if one things legal in Texas (like 17 year old girls) and I go to another state and sleep with one where 18 is the legal age, I can't say we'll I'm from Texas, I live by those laws.

Point 2: I get the idea that some countries may want to retaliate against our troops for war crimes. But if those troops that create war crimes are the same POS that killed Iraqi citizens then who gives a shit.

CSUBUCDAD wrote:The run on guns was by people who did not own one previously for the most part. The run on ammo was by guys like me who wanted to increase their supply ahead of price increases and new federal regulation on ammo purchases. Right now I have the following weapons in my weapons locker:

Remington 1100
Ruger 556(223 and 5.56)
Winchester 290 22LR
Ruger SR9
Remington 700(30.06 sniper rifle)
Ruger LCP 38 special(conceal carry piece)

My normal(pre Obama) ammo stock levels were:
Shotgun rounds 250
9mm rounds 400
22LR rounds 500
223 500
5.56 500
30.06 400
38 250

My ammo stock levels now:
Shotgun rounds 500
9mm rounds 1000
22LR rounds 2000
223 2000
5.56 2000
30.06 1500
38 1000

And if you want to know why, just google "The bubba effect"

And while all you libtards are sitting there calling me an exremist, come talk to me when it takes a wheel barrel of dollars to by a loaf of bread and the shelves are bare in the stores and the only people with anything to eat are those like me who saw this coming and stocked up on canned goods and food stocks and are willing and able to defend it.

Ya..!!!
Every time a Democrat has been elected president in the past 40 years we go through this whole scenario

1) There coming to take our guns
2) They're rewriting the constitution as we speak
3) The end is near...

I've personally witnessed the "insanity" three different times and each time I was "assured" that this was about to happen that "they were coming to get the guns" and the end was near
Each time it was by a person who by all appearances was completely sane
but by his actions was a total nut-job

Yet, Clinton did sign the Rome Treaty on Dec. 31, 2000, just hours before the signature deadline, DESPITE his acknowledging the document was "flawed", and DESPITE his refusal to submit the document to the Senate for ratification, because he ACKNOWLEDGED it had no chance of being ratified (he didn't, it didn't). His reasoning for signing it was to ensure the U.S. would be subject to (Clinton quote) "...international accountability..."

...and...

...Obama did sign the executive order exempting Interpol from the same checks and balances that U.S. law enforcement have to operate under.

So, Hippie...

I did read it but this shits all new to me so I ain't going to understand it overnight.

So why the heck would our country give INTERPOL those rights? What is INTERPOLs reasoning behind needing that kind of information without prior authorization? Really I'll never get involved in anything INTERPOLs interested in so I'm personally not worried.

And upon reading some more about ICC I don't agree with the idea of abuse or how the system is flawed. If revised I think the US should sign it though.

Its hard for the US to talk about abuse when we were doing to prisoners at Gitmo.

I can't wait for the prices to fall further. I have guns for every finger, and every toe. A couple extra for my nose, tongue, dick, and ass-roid to squeeze ( ) off a few shots with if'n I can get them appendages trained to do so, for when the red chineeze, ruskies, fash-on-ists, commies, pinkos, and other demokats do invade to think twice about ass-aulting my 'merican true-blue god fearing and bible believing arse on any moments notice!

If'n you think good enough to stockpile enough campbells chicken noodle soup and dinty moore beefin' stew for years to come and don't train your soft tissues to pull the trigger, then I will fatten my girth with your booty and possibly eat yer liver and fry your daughters o-rings like 'tater fries while you writhe in pain calling for the pope to save your sorry soul.

just sayin'
