Atlas is an expert. You're not.
So is Fauci.
No! So what does that mean. If both are experts and are at opposite sides of the equation?

So you're saying epidemiologist > radiologist when it comes to an infectious disease? I would have to agree.kalm wrote: ↑Fri Nov 27, 2020 5:56 pmAtlas isn’t an expert.SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Fri Nov 27, 2020 1:29 pm

One is an expert in infectious diseases and the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases for the past 30+ yrs. he’s been part of the swine flu, Ebola, SARs, MERS, and HIV responses in this country.
Hate to tell you this, but Atlas could hold his own with a bureaucrat like Fauci and he has. Don't be fooled by science that isn't there. Fauci only knows as much as the science let's him and trust me, it isn't beyond Atlas.Ibanez wrote: ↑Fri Nov 27, 2020 9:05 pmOne is an expert in infectious diseases and the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases for the past 30+ yrs. he’s been part of the swine flu, Ebola, SARs, MERS, and HIV responses in this country.SeattleGriz wrote:

The other is an expert is medical imaging. The two aren’t equal at all.

That's fine. Label him a hack, but who is correct on COVID?UNI88 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 9:21 amProof from an unbiased source?SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 8:01 am

I agree that Fauci is a bureaucrat but you could just as easily argue that Atlas is a partisan hack. His peers at Stanford have condemned his actions.
I don't think we really know yet and probably won't until we have a significantly better understanding of COVID-19.SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 9:46 amThat's fine. Label him a hack, but who is correct on COVID?
Spot on answer! And in the meantime, both sides are reciting evidence that has been backed up by study.UNI88 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 10:53 amI don't think we really know yet and probably won't until we have a significantly better understanding of COVID-19.SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 9:46 am

This is what a huge majority of America doesn't grasp. The life sciences aren't cut and dry, and there is even an art to practicing them.

"All of my policy recommendations to the President are directly backed by the current science, and they are in line with what many of the world's top medical scientists advise ... Career government public health officials do not have a monopoly on knowledge."
