It's a very crowded field and this could hurt her. Will she own it or flip flop? Owning it could really help her in the general but she has to get there first. It's a conundrum for her.

most liberals - contrary to Fox News misinformation - have no problem with gun ownership
they just think - like automobile ownership - it should be regulated

I don't blame Harris (or any Dem candidate) for owning a handgun for self protection....especially when the POTUS & AG are letting a domestic terrorist hellbent on killing many of them....walk.

LoL. You guys are grading Tulsi on a curve because she's hawt, the same way straight men give bigger tips to hot waitresses.
She's anti gun, pro-abortion, and her anti war stance more comes from the idea that poor misunderstood people like Bashir Assad are getting bullied and not that interventionism often doesn't work out to our benefit.
She's also against free-trade agreements (Is that no longer trendy among progressives now that Trump has co-oped that, or have I missed something)?
She's also been endorsed by the Sierra Club, which means she supports bullshit, feel-good, luddite environmentalism instead of reality-based energy policy.
Hard Pass.

Re: 2020 Democratic Nomination Process Mega-thread
I don't think the Dems will nominate her, even though she has a good chance of winning against Agent Orange. Some of the "I hate Hillary" vote will go elsewhere, and she would bring a lot of young people to the polls. Maybe she can run as a third party candidate against 2 old white men, Biden/Trump. She might be a VP option if Bernie wins the nomination. There's always 2024.Chizzang wrote:No matter who she might appeal toCID1990 wrote:

I think you give Trump way too much credit
Or, let me play JSO for a moment-
White, conservative, uneducated America is shrinking. The slice of white Americans who think Trump is the Keeper Of Truth (among all white conservatives), being the shrinking slice that it is .... is going to deliver Trump four more years?
Here’s a less Houndawgy theory than yours:
Trump is bad but the Dem nominee is guaranteed to be a fringe communist
That’s why Trump gets a second term

For voting, why? Why should an aspect of the sentence be permanent? Especially when white collar criminals get a slap on the wrist too many times, and corporatists hide behind corporate structure to commit crimes?
Hell, the GOP elected a man who's company defrauded the Federal Government of Billions, and had to pay $1.7 Billion in fines. Why should Rick Scott get to vote, let alone serve in the Senate, while someone convicted of selling a couple ounces of weed never be allowed to vote again?
Instead of portraying Bernie and AOC as wacky, it is people like YOU that are the wacky extremists.

A fair democracy allows all voices to have a say in government if government will affect their life. I'd go one step further and say that since the wheels of government influence how prisons are administered, felons should be able to vote while they're in prison.

2) People who refuse to behave according to the laws and are a threat to society forfeit their rights. I don't think there's a solid, rational reason why anyone that's incarcerated should retain all their privileges.
Now, once their debt to society has been paid, I could be all for it. Except for anyone that's a repeat offender. Clearly, murderers, rapists, gang members, etc... have more important things to do than get involved in our Democracy.

clearing out tens of millions of middle class 401K's
and then complain about minimum wage being too high
