It's a very crowded field and this could hurt her. Will she own it or flip flop? Owning it could really help her in the general but she has to get there first. It's a conundrum for her.

Her concerns about Romney over abortion are what pushed her to Obama that year

But abortion is here to stay - regardless of who is elected. Even if the SCOTUS overturns Roe and sends it back to the States (unlikely) - abortion will still be legal in most states, if not all of them

So my argument was that abortion was a poor reason to vote for Obama... a but of a cop-out, really. There were many more arguable reasons to give the nod to Obama (nit that I would necessarily agree with them)

Tulsi Gabbard is being whacked for positions that are really immaterial because they cannot be delivered. If you strip those away, you have a non-interventionist candidate who I could potentially throw a vote to

I don't think the Dems will nominate her, even though she has a good chance of winning against Agent Orange. Some of the "I hate Hillary" vote will go elsewhere, and she would bring a lot of young people to the polls. Maybe she can run as a third party candidate against 2 old white men, Biden/Trump. She might be a VP option if Bernie wins the nomination. There's always 2024.

For voting, why? Why should an aspect of the sentence be permanent? Especially when white collar criminals get a slap on the wrist too many times, and corporatists hide behind corporate structure to commit crimes?

Hell, the GOP elected a man who's company defrauded the Federal Government of Billions, and had to pay $1.7 Billion in fines. Why should Rick Scott get to vote, let alone serve in the Senate, while someone convicted of selling a couple ounces of weed never be allowed to vote again?

1) Life isn't fair. Quit trying to make it so.
2) People who refuse to behave according to the laws and are a threat to society forfeit their rights. I don't think there's a solid, rational reason why anyone that's incarcerated should retain all their privileges.


Now, once their debt to society has been paid, I could be all for it. Except for anyone that's a repeat offender. Clearly, murderers, rapists, gang members, etc... have more important things to do than get involved in our Democracy.
