Actually drove my step brother's Tesla when he was here. Forget what model, but he put it in Beast mode and HOLY SHIT did that thing have some torque. Floored it on a straight section with a rolling start and it was up to 60 mph in what seemed like about 2 seconds. Didn't go much past that as the speed limit on the road was 35.

Statists always believe that if you hate a thing that the government tries to mandate, that means you hate the thing.

Of course, those who are complaining about people who buy more and more EVs because it's not a big honking diesel dually that billows black smoke and gets 11 mpg on the highway makes conservatives look bad. But there are idiots all over the spectrum.

When that snowstorm that stranded a bunch of motorists on the interstate in VA for 12-16 hours, commentors were all saying how EVs are dumb for that reason...when you can easily point out that trying to get gas in a snowstorm is not the easiest thing in the world.
