He wasn't predicting anything that wasn't already common knowledge about the behavior of viruses, Fauci was predicting a bad winter and mutations early in 2020 on national TV.

Its overwhelmingly the unvaccinated that are dying and the unvaccinated that are using up the ICU beds. And the few deaths among the vaccinated were almost exclusively those 65+ and/or immunocompromised.
Speaking of bad winter, didn't the Biden admin tell us this would be the winter of death due to the China Virus?

Whoops.

What narrative would that be? The one that felt we should have isolated those most susceptible and not been so heavy handed with the lockdowns? That narrative? Or the one that not everyone needed a shot? Or maybe the one where we should have let our medical community actually practice medicine instead of telling them what to do?
My favorite is the "just two weeks" narrative that started this whole thing. Of course the "this will be over when we get a vaccine" was a pretty good one. Last one in my top 3 is the "vaccine is better than natural immunity" narrative.

All were wrong, and the Covidians are still quadrupling down in stupid.
They're all vying for 2nd place - how do you top: "This will be over Nov. 4th." :notworthy:

Or park that hospital ship off the coast and don't count them?

Seriously, houndy, you might be one of the dimmest posters we have on this board, and that's with a fair amount of competition for that title. At least before you just popped up every now and then, said something non-sensical, and then disappeared for awhile. Now you post a lot more frequently but the quality is just as low as ever. Here's Biden's quote, which I thought everyone knew, but again, news travels slowly in your part of Illinois.

Funny how the science changed shortly after Dem governors started dropping mask mandates, eh?

I wonder what JSO has to say about this new science from the vaunted and apolitical CDC?

I wonder if it will include getting rid of masks on planes.

They must be going with the "old" science. You know, the old science before the new science came out contradicting years of research on the topic.

The way the science changes, you'd think the same guys who tell us one week eggs are good, then bad the following week, must be in charge of the mask studies.

Office just went back to normal, no masks, unless one is in a location where they are required by law.

As I think I said during a previous exchange on your predictions about masking guidance changing, that is like "calling" the sunrise. They are going to assess the risk and change the guidance. They are going to continue to do that.

They changed the guidance based on politics (such as the possibility of losing elections) not risk assessment.

Heard it was soon. A week ago, cases had dropped 42% for the 7-day moving average.

I will take your uncharacteristically brief and evidence-light reply as a tap out.

Or do you want another shot at explaining the grand coincidence of Dem governors lifting mask mandates and then the VERY SCIENTIFIC AND APOLITICAL CDC changing its guidance 3 weeks later?

Maybe you can tell us all that was just a COINKYDINK?

Mandates are political science BS. Your stats really are comparing apples to oranges. Compare January to February this year instead. Last years cases were going up in some areas, going down in others, different variant, no vaccine. This years total shows snapshot of a down trend of covid cases across the board, at least 40% less new cases than the previous month, Omicron variant, vaccines, etc. Let's hope for the best.
