Since I live in Macon GA, I'll tell you.
He grew up in an unincorporated part of Bibb County 10-15 miles south of Macon. Pretty much right between Warner Robins and Macon. The county and city governments consolidated in 2010, so every point in Bibb County is now considered Macon. When Aldean lived here, it wasn't.

BTW, to correct your redneck friend, no Macon does not have a Target. They left town 5-6 years ago due to the crime.

Read my posts about the song on the Culture Wars thread. I pointed out the a few potential issues with it but defended it for the most part. And personally, I kind of like the song but I like cheesy pop country.
