Who knows, maybe we'll get "Constantinople" back this century. And by "we", I clearly mean Russia (playing the role of begrudging ally to the West).

Anyway, NOW he says Quaddafi should've been left in charge.

I enjoy the fact that Erdogan and the government supporters were able to successfully use social media to rally the millenials to support the government.

They are primed and patriotic now, this is probably why he's putting pressure on the Obama administration to extradite Gulen from Pennsylvania.

I doubt Turkish generals spend a lot of time thinking about how wonderful democracy is.

This Gulen dude is interesting. He has one of the largest charter school organizations in the US taking in more than $150 million in government contracts. He's also accused of having ties to the CIA.

Again, you FAIL to acknowledge that Hillary LIED about Q-boy slaughtering his peeps. And she LIED about the peeps rising up to support democracy.

ANY conclusions regarding Libya were made using Hillary's, "facts." And those so called facts were derived from a couple of wealthy Libyans who wanted to ride back to Libya to make big money after the US dumped Q-boy.

HILLARY LIES...PEOPLE DIE.

That is what YOU want. Libya. Syria. Yemen. Turkey.

This is the bottom line, JSO...Hillary is the best candidate for ISIS and Muslin extremists.

By voting for Hillary, you are voting for Muslinism. There is no way around that.

If Fethullah Gulen is considered a threat to Erdogan & Turkey's gov't doesn't Turkey have a right to drone strike him in Pennsylvania? @CNN
According to US actions they most certainly do.

If they reinstate the death penalty to do away with these guys that will be the end of their bid for the EU.

We'll see just how badly Erdogan wants to cut off his own nose to spite his face

I think it will be bigger than that. This is a perfect out for Erdogan to ouster whoever he wants...hell, it has already begun:
More than 1,500 university deans have also been ordered to resign and the licences of 21,000 teachers working at private institutions revoked.
The army, judiciary, security and civil service have all been targeted following Friday's coup attempt:
6,000 military personnel have been arrested, with more than two dozen generals awaiting trial
Nearly 9,000 police officers have been sacked
Close to 3,000 judges have been suspended
Some 1,500 employees of Turkey's finance ministry have been dismissed
492 have been fired from the Religious Affairs Directorate
More than 250 staff in Mr Yildirim's office have been removed
Turkey's media regulation body on Tuesday also revoked the licenses of 24 radio and TV channels accused of links to Mr Gulen.
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-36838347

Thought I heard Sam Harris say something like 77% of Turks are ok with Sharia law...and Turkey is a "secular" country. I think we can expect a farther hard-lined right (think Islam) Turkey from here on out.

Thanks Obama and Hillary. :thumb:

Turkey grounds all US planes over there to fight ISIS, places 1,500 American troops on lockdown and will continue to do so until Gulen is handed over...

And in exactly in which specific countries against which person(s) has the US done drone strikes against would that action be equivalent to?

Like Pakistan?

Or how about the CIA kidnapping foreign nationals in other countries like Italy? Perhaps Turkey can just come over here and snatch him?

BDK clearly didn't read the article or if he did, wasn't smart enough to get the rhetorical gist of it.
