You really had to reach and stretch and add a lot to come away from that speech that he's going to heal the racial divide. He spoke on race. He didn't say anything like " vote for me for racial justice", " a vote for me will end the bigotry and little black boys and little white boys will live in harmony."

That WAS pretty fascist. I'll admit that I myself am at times sympathetic to that type of approach. But I don't think that's going to help him re-election wise. If the social justice movement turnout in general and the Black turnout in particular is high he will lose. He'd have lost last time if Black turnout hadn't been down. He's like doing all he can to ensure that social justice people in general and Black voters in particular are going to be fired up to turn out and vote against him.

And, no, it's not going to help him with White suburban women.
