Bingo, called it.

You and Pulitzer Prize winning military correspondent Cheong skip right past the ethical issues with cluster munitions and go right into “we’re running out of bombs!”

…on a $900 million annual defense budget….

Ukraine, Russia and the US are not signatories on the ban. It doesn't take the ethics out of the equation, but each country has taken a stance on the subject. Of course Ukraine is already on record as using them on its own population.

In regards to the $900 billion, it's not about how much money, it's about capacity. I've previously provided supply chain information from our government to you actually, and America simply doesn't have the capacity to keep supplying Ukraine with the weaponry they have been. The ramp up to that capability is going to take years.

I don't know if it's the cause, but I speculated that's what the early "explosions" in the Russian factories were about. The ramping up of production from one shift (8 hrs) to 24 hours.

Ukrainian Ambassador to the U.S. Oksana Markarova on Sunday said there’s “nothing controversial” about the Biden administration’s decision to send cluster munitions to Kyiv as it fends off Russia’s ongoing war.

“Well, first of all, let me say how grateful we are to President Biden and to everyone for making this decision to provide us with this munition. I know everyone is discussing how difficult it was and sometimes even call it controversial, but there is nothing controversial about it,” Markarova said on CBS News’s “Face the Nation.”

Biden in Lituania either thinks he’s in Ukraine, or thinks Russia has invaded Lithuania lol. And he admits the US has sent thousands of troops, and will send thousands more to Ukraine? Lithuania? WTF is he talking about.. :suspicious:

No, it's pretty clear he's talking about Lithuania. And, if he thought Russia invaded Lithuania - there would be a hell of a lot more US troops involved. :coffee:

Or he’s talking about Lithuania, the region, and NATO which is actually, you know, what he’s there to discuss.

On cluster bombs - they can be problematic. They can be devastating if used in urban centers around lots of civilians (as Russia has done repeatedly in this conflict without a peep from the vatniks on here). That is fucked.

They are perfect for loosening up entrenched enemy positions - which is how I suspect Ukraine will be using them.

Your link says a battallion which is about 600. MSM saying same thing, about 500. He said the US has brought in ‘thousands’ of troops.

I think if you're a Wagner mercenary this would be a really good time to collect your pay and unass the AO, pronto.

the Red Army and their affiliated mercenaries are unable to accomplish their objectives and are being left to die in Ukraine. To save his own skin the Master Strategist will have to sacrifice either his defense minister, or the leader of the mercenaries, who himself would like to be the next defense minister should the Master Strategist be able to survive his humiliating inability to overpower his smaller, weaker (he thought) neighbor.

The cluster munitions will have the Russian trenches looking like a schoolroom in Uvalde. I almost feel sorry for the invaders knowing whats coming.

All bets are off when you've been invaded and are fighting for your home and family and your only option is fight or die. You gotta first kill Russians, then worry about the clean up after they're dead and gone. The Ukraian grandmother that told the Russian soldiers to put seeds in their pockets so flowers wil grow where they die got it right.

Wrong and wrong, as is your custom lately. We have the capacity and it will take months to ramp it up rather than years - you don't seriously think we're going to pass up the profits to be made selling ammo to somebody who is using it to kill one of our main adversaries? If you do you have a fundamental lack of understanding of our capitalist system, bro. You need to get on youtube and see if you can find Country Joe and the Fish covering this very subject with the Fish Cheer.
