Besides, I thought the topic here was whether or not the Muslim Brotherhood is a largely secular organization. Whether the Egyptian military will tolerate them is immaterial. (And the Egyptian military ALREADY tolerates them as does/did Mubarak... that is an important thing to consider.)
OK, they are not secular. If they follow your scenario why won't they find themselves in Mubarak's position?
Because they already directly represent 20-40% of the population, and are supported by an even higher percentage, as referenced elsewhere.
