Agree with Mounty & the Col. And I think that those rights should be extended nationwide with regard to hospital visitation, insurance, inheritance, etc....family is afforded certain rights with regards to these situations and a commitment via civil union joins those two as family. Screw the "marriage" semantics.....all this because states decided a long time ago to make a few bucks on marriage licenses....
