Yeah...they started developing it in 2020.
When was the lion's share of the development done?

Careful, your bias is showing. Why else would you be so insistent on minimizing Trump's credit for the vaccine but be fine when JSO argues that Obama gets credit for the economy during Trump's administration?

I’d have to look it up again to be sure but one of the reasons cited for the quick release was the years of research begun after SARS 1. I’m sure it got ramped up in 2020 and I gave Trump kudos for cutting the red tape but isn’t that what most leaders should have done?

I’m simply making fun of Trump getting ALL of the credit.

BTW, Obama gets some credit for Trump’s economy. JSO’s info shows the trends.

I like to give Trump credit to trigger close-minded libruls who believe in their heart of hearts that Trump is a fascist demon who can do no good.

AZ countered JSO's info with a valid argument that the duration of the economic growth experienced during Trump's administration was unprecedented. JSO just pooh-poohs or ignores any logic that doesn't support his biased opinions. Does Trump deserve all of the credit? No, but JSO gives him ZERO credit for that or anything else positive that happened during his 4 years.

DA has revoked the emergency use authorization (EUA) to use hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine to treat COVID-19 in certain hospitalized patients when a clinical trial is unavailable or participation is not feasible. We made this determination based on recent results from a large, randomized clinical trial in hospitalized patients that found these medicines showed no benefit for decreasing the likelihood of death or speeding recovery. This outcome was consistent with other new data, including those showing the suggested dosing for these medicines are unlikely to kill or inhibit the virus that causes COVID-19.
https://www.fda.gov/drugs/drug-safety-a ... setting-or
A National Institutes of Health clinical trial evaluating the safety and effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine for the treatment of adults with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has formally concluded that the drug provides no clinical benefit to hospitalized patients. Though found not to cause harm, early findings in June when the trial was stopped indicated that the drug was not improving outcomes in COVID-19 patients.
https://www.nih.gov/news-events/news-re ... d-covid-19

HCQ for people infected with COVID‐19 has little or no effect on the risk of death and probably no effect on progression to mechanical ventilation. Adverse events are tripled compared to placebo, but very few serious adverse events were found. No further trials of hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine for treatment should be carried out.

These results make it less likely that the drug is effective in protecting people from infection, although this is not excluded entirely. It is probably sensible to complete trials examining prevention of infection, and ensure these are carried out to a high standard to provide unambiguous results.

Key messages

Hydroxychloroquine does not reduce deaths from COVID‐19, and probably does not reduce the number of people needing mechanical ventilation.

Hydroxychloroquine caused more unwanted effects than a placebo treatment, though it did not appear to increase the number of serious unwanted effects.

Observation and clinical studies suggest otherwise. :coffee:

Lets have your analysis of each below Trump accomplishment:

Domestic
1.Judicial appointments (3 SCOTUS judges + NUMEROUS Circuit).
2.Tax cuts for 2/3 of taxpayers.
3.Getting tougher on Illegal Immigration (numerous things)
4.Unemployment before the China Virus, and bounce back since.
5.Stock Market
6.Ending Obamacare mandate.
7.Deregulation.
8.Approving Keystone and Dakota Access pipelines.
9.American Energy Independence- net exporter.
10.VA Reform: Greatly expanded & made permanent what had started under Obama as a limited, temporary, VA Choice Program.
11.Criminal Justice Reform.
12. Creation of Space Force: 1st new military branch since 1947.
13.Operation Warp Speed: Vaccine faster than the experts thought possible.

Foreign Policy
1.Renegotiating NAFTA (United States–Mexico–Canada Agreement.
2.Pulling out of Trans Pacific Partnership
3.Getting tough on China. A trade war is bad, but with China
-we have a massive trade deficit.
-China puts tariffs on US goods.
-They manipulate their currency.
-They commit massive state sponsored economic espionage.
4.Nixing the terrible Iran Deal.
-Didn’t allow for unannounced, unfettered inspections
-Unfroze 150 billion in Iranian assets
-1.7 billion direct cash to Iran.
5.Pulling out of the Paris Climate deal.
-Not a treaty
-Didn’t hold China & India to same standard.
-Would cost our economy trillions with marginal benefit in terms of stopping any human caused global warming.
6.Getting deadbeat NATO countries to pledge to pay more.
7.Pulling out Syria.
8.Opening dialogue with North Korea.
9. Middle East Peace deal
. (which resulted in Nobel Peace Prize nomination).
10. Balkans Peace Deal (which resulted in another Nobel Peace Prize nomination).
11. Al Baghdadi killed- founder of ISIS.
12. Soleimani killed.
13. Moved US Embassy to Jerusalem.
14. NO NEW WARS
- 1st POTUS in 40 years to have that accomplishment.
Bump. HI54UNI's "War! Who's next?" reminded me I left off what might be the biggest foreign policy accomplishment (put at #14)- 1st POTUS in the last 6 in 40 years since Carter, no new wars.
We're making plenty of the existing ones, we shouldn't need any new ones or a while. :coffee:

So far we have:
- Amusement Park
- Nuclear Waste Storage Facility
- Traveling Circus

Any other ideas (good or otherwise) to build in lieu of a presidential library for Trump?
