Difference between pro-life and pro-birth which is what most "pro-life" people are. To hell with the kid once he/she is born. I'm sure that hijo del Dios approves............

I should have been more clear. Surely you know that California, one of the most liberal states, has convicted people of double murder for killing a pregnant woman, yes?Grizalltheway wrote:And how many women are prosecuted and sentenced according to those states' homicide laws?89Hen wrote:37 states recognize killing a fetus as homicide

I usually agree with you Cleets but I have to disagree on this one. If I understand 89's position, he believes that a fetus is a life so abortion is murder and he is pro-life personally and politically. You might disagree but his position is defensible and reasonable based on his beliefs.Chizzang wrote:Because almost everybody is "personally Pro-life"89Hen wrote: You mean like Joe Biden and Tim Kaine? If I'm correct, it actually goes a long way toward understanding his perspective on the presidential election. Gary Johnson and the Libertarian Party are too pro-choice for him. Trump's more recent statements and positions make him a more appealing candidate but his flip flopping probably makes 89 extremely wary of voting for him. He's not sure but if he doesn't trust Trump, he might just not vote for POTUS.

His position is a moral black hole...
If the fetus is a human being
then abortion is murder (period) end of discussion
Murder is a crime of fundamental importance
Murder should be taken seriously in every example - without exception
All cases of abortion should be treated as murder cases
and why wouldn't they - a human was murdered
This ^ is the logical conclusion to this position
Where everyday women would be tried for premeditated 1st degree murder
31 states have a 1st degree murder death penalty (irony of all ironies)
and these women should get death sentences for premeditated murder
Because by definition that is the purpose of the law - 1st degree premeditated murder = Death penalty
I can keep going
Because this is the logical end game to abortion is murder - a - moral high ground debate

I much prefer:
"I personally am against abortion"
But it should be a woman's right to chose

And the killing of providers is defensible and should be supported.

I dont read many of your posts, but yes I agree they should be tried as murderers.......unless the guy signs an "Opt out" agreement then she can do what she wants and murder her baby since she chose to fu*k and get pregnant with some douchebag she didnt want to have kids with since shes kind of a slum slit.Chizzang wrote:I mention that very specifically in my post (can you read..?)ALPHAGRIZ1 wrote:Except that abortion is the killing of life, its basic science.

If he can lose 50% or more in a divorce I thinks its only fair he gets to have 50% say in keeping his child from being murdered. We want equality in this country dont we?Chizzang wrote:Ah yes, very enlightenedALPHAGRIZ1 wrote:

So based entirely on his choice to "opt out" she is either a Murderer or 100% A-okay
I got it... Thanks for clarifying

No, if he decides to have the abortion then charge both of them accordingly.
Its called personal responsibility, for every action there are consequences, if you dont want to deal with consequences then make better decisions.

So if he "ops out" she's the murderer
and if he is involved but wants an abortion he's also a murderer
