Too bad the cops can't pull him over.

Until he breaks the law.

Typical liberal asshole that has no clue about SB1070 but runs his life by sound bytes from Dems who haven't read the bill either.

At least he didn't write it in Espanol. ;)

Cops don't write the laws KY....be upset with the state lawmakers, not the enforcement arm.

JellyBelly, why don't you grab yourself a firearm and head for the border? The militias could use your help.

I think he's still South of the border right now - more empathetic to illegal's rights. :coffee:

Eh. More concerned will legals' rights.

I guarantee you the Mexican with that on his windshield is here legally. Otherwise he wouldn't be tempting the cops to pull him over.

It doesn't say "I'm illegal. Pull me over." It says "I'm Mexican. Pull me over." Yet for some reason you equate Mexican with illegal. Hmmmmm. :coffee:

Neither Ivy nor ASUG8 equated Mexicans with illegals.

Well, where in this thread did I say anything about illegals? But, he says I'm empathetic to illegals' rights. I'm empathetic to legal Mexicans' rights.

You got me all wrong :ohno: I work with a legal Mexican immigrant and have no problem with that - follow the proper channels to citizenship, pay your taxes, you're golden in my book. No doubt this guy is legal and begging the cops to pull him so he can pull the profiling card which is bound to happen a lot. Get ready for the Hispanic equivalent of "driving while black" to get started. I'm not sure if Arizona is doing it the right way, but at least they're doing something to slow the inflow of illegals - Federal programs have been marginally effective at best, and the border states are the first line of defense to assist in slowing it down further. :twocents:

I assume you've read the whole thing? I have. :ugeek:

This fucktard who signed this bill doesn't even know how they are going to enforce this section:
For any lawful contact made by a law enforcement official or agency of this state or a county, city, town or other political subdivision of this state where reasonable suspicion exists that the person is an alien who is unlawfully present in the United States, a reasonable attempt shall be made, when practicable, to determine the immigration status of the person.

Perhaps the person who wrote this on the car is trying to find out is what is considered "Reasonable Suspicion" and how the state intends to determine status? Is there enough reasonable suspicion that someone is of a descent that we should question them about their citizenship?

For people who stand up for the constitution, you sure do like to pick and choose the parts you will stand up for. Not to mention the big brother nanny state this creates.

Thats funny!!

They know exactly how they are going to use that section. They have been educating officers all week on this exact point and the one point they are stressing in these classes is "anyone accusing us of harassment will be wrong 100% of the time". They are taking great care to stress that law enforcement will not use this law until after they have other probable cause or witness a law being broken.

Where'd you get this info from?

Considering that AZ law enforcement officials are split over the bill... I'm not so sure who is and who isn't being trained.

I believe that person can be pulled over for impairing their ability to see out the window. Pull em' over cuz I'm pretty sure the dude is gonna be holding or at least have something illegal if they really are Mexican.

Good luck with that. I've never seen one that doesn't have the mirrors hanging by the adjusting lanyard.

They are far from split trust me and the information I have is first hand from the people involved. I dont care if you believe it or not, just trying to keep you educated and up to speed. Something you wont get from the media.

So many legal Mexicans in Arizona support this bill but you will never hear that from the unbiased media.

If they dont like it, THEN LEAVE THE STATE..........and they are.

I would pull the guy over because he asked me to.

No judge, not even one of the fu*ked up liberal 9th circuit idiots would touch this since there is evidence that the driver wanted to be pulled over.

No kidding.

I can safely say I know more legal Mexicans (and hispanics from other countries) than anyone on this board. Not a single one supports this bill.

And yes, many, many officers oppose this bill, including the Tucson cop that file suit today.

Nope, there are plenty of them protesting the protesters but you wont see that on our unbiased media.

They have the attitude if I had to do it legally why should the others get to rape our country without following the same path. Some Mexicans get it.

A good friend of mine who lives in the Phoenix area says all they have to do catch the illegal aliens is make it illegal to ride in the back of a pick-up. Problem solved.

But I still say it's an illegal employer and border problem.

Question: Since the vast majority of this bill mimics word for word the federal law, why is it not unconstitutional at the federal level? 8-) 8-)

Ah, did you get this from your chain mail club too? Ahem, is the bill exactly like federal law and since when are states allowed to create laws that pertain to foreign policy? I'm pretty sure that power lies with the federal government.
“No State can rewrite our foreign policy to conform to its own domestic policies. Power over external affairs is not shared by the States; it is vested in the national government exclusively. It need not be so exercised as to conform to State laws or State policies, whether they be expressed in constitutions, statutes, or judicial decrees. And the policies of the States become wholly irrelevant to judicial inquiry when the United States, acting within its constitutional sphere, seeks enforcement of its foreign policy in the courts.”
