Minnesota hasn't won the Big 10 in 40 years. Illinois has multiple titles, including this decade. Purdue at same level as Illinois, yes.
Minnesota is the bottom of the Big 10, football wise. Even Northwestern is ahead of them.

Big 10 basketball - teams in NC game, since 2000clenz wrote:Indiana is about as relevant to the B10 right now in college basketball as Sacramento State is in the Big Sky.SuperHornet wrote:
Maybe. IF you restrict the discussion to football.
If you expand to boys hoops, I think you have a three-headed monster at the top with MI/OSU/IN.
Honestly if we are doing B10 basketball, right now, we going
OSU/Purdue/Wisconsin/Michigan State
Michigan/Illinois
The rest.
Michigan State (twice, one win)
Ohio State, Illinois, Indiana - once each
Final Fours
Michigan State - 5
OSU, Ill, Ind, Wisc - 1 each
Purdue hasn't been to a Final Four since 1980.
At best, Purdue belongs on Ill/Mich line, but likely below it.

they last won a football title in 2001 and before that 1990. Since their last title they've only won more than 5 games twice.Franks Tanks wrote:Illinois isn't a powerhouse, but they are in the top 1/2 of the Big Ten more often than not. They are also 4th all time in championships with 15 behind Michigan, OSU, and Minnesota. It also seems like a great place to see a game.89Hen wrote: But that still doesn't make a game at Illinois a BIG 10 game.
It would be like going to a Vandy game and saying you've been to an SEC game.

Re: Big Ten bound in November
that depends on who their playing, if it's Bama, Auburn, UF that's an SEC game. Ole Miss or Miss St who cares.89Hen wrote:But that still doesn't make a game at Illinois a BIG 10 game.dbackjon wrote:
