Towson ties with 50 seconds, and then wins it with 17 seconds left! Fifth win in a row. Beats UMBC 12-11.

Towson went all black as a tribute to two students who died over the weekend.

Man those two teams look like they're having an intra-squad scrimmage with the opposing black and golds.

A four-goal fourth quarter run and a caused turnover by Greg Rushing with 25 seconds left in regulation gave No. 1 UMass a 14-13 win over Hofstra on Saturday evening at Gillette Stadium.

With the win, the Minutemen capture the 2012 CAA Regular-Season title and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming CAA Championship Tournament. Kyle Smith, Art Kell and Colin Fleming paced the Minutemen with three goals each in the win.

UMass improves to a perfect 12-0 overall and 5-0 in the CAA, while Hofstra falls to 6-7 overall and 2-3 in league play. The Minutemen will close out the regular season next Friday at Delaware (7:00 pm) before returning to Garber Field to host the CAA Semifinals on May 2.

The high-powered offense of undefeated Massachusetts was too much for Delaware to handle Friday night as the Blue Hens dropped a 17-6 Colonial Athletic Association decision to the No. 2 ranked Minutemen in the season finale at Delaware Stadium.

Massachusetts, the CAA regular season champion, got six goals and two assists from Will Manny and multiple-goal efforts from three other players to improve to 13-0 (6-0 CAA). The Minutemen now advance to the CAA semifinals this Wednesday where they will host either Hofstra or Towson. No. 2 seed Penn State will host No. 3 seed Drexel in the other semifinal game. The finals will be held Saturday with the champion earning an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.

We've now had post-season football, basketball and LAX games.

Hopefully the result is in our favor this time!
