Who was the Montana player that was just carted off the field? I had the sound down since I'm listening to the App-Chatty game.

Montana with their 4th pick 6. 73-2 now, with 8 minutes still to play. What a bunch of jackasses...
Re: Montana vs Western State...
what are they supposed to do, not return it? take a knee and ask the offense to run backwards?Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Montana with their 4th pick 6. 73-2 now, with 8 minutes still to play. What a bunch of jackasses...

Sarcasm isn't one of your strong points, is it? Welcome to the board.argh! wrote:what are they supposed to do, not return it? take a knee and ask the offense to run backwards?Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Montana with their 4th pick 6. 73-2 now, with 8 minutes still to play. What a bunch of jackasses...

Can't remember, but it was a freshman from Missoula and his first play for the Griz. Huge bummer.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:Who was the Montana player that was just carted off the field? I had the sound down since I'm listening to the App-Chatty game.

Yeah, that definitely sucks for the young guy. Hope he has a quick recovery.SeattleGriz wrote:Can't remember, but it was a freshman from Missoula and his first play for the Griz. You cocksuckers scheduling games like this....... You and Southern Illinois.
Re: Montana vs Western State...
This game was scheduled years ago by the Great Don Reed, a Griz legend! It's just that the average memory capabilities of most Griz fans is one year or less so they still blame Hauck for this game.Cap'n Cat wrote:You cocksuckers scheduling games like this....... You and Southern Illinois.

At least Western State got a safety.
Montana will be a contender for a national title appearance this year IMO, even though I think my local high school team could beat WS.

Your line is garbage and your offense struggled against one of the weakest, if not the weakest D-II team out there. We'll see how the Griz play against a real team next week.

Montana scored all the points on the board today. The safety was due to a fumbled handoff.AppStateAlumQC wrote:At least Western State got a safety.

Um, yeah, that "real" team is barely squeaking by a D-II team at the moment...Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:100 blown assignments, mabye. Bank on it, alphabitch.ALPHAGRIZ1 wrote:

Blown assignments are just part of sloppy play in the first game, its expected more on offense than on defense as it takes more time for an offense to gel and get used to playing together especially in game scenarios. That being said, the defense played tremendously well (i'd sure hope so playing whatever state) but you cant seriously think that montana wont have a lot of those offensive kinks worked out by the time the griz come into cheney.... If you think that you're gonna walk away with that game then you must be

Well then I can't speak for Cal Poly, but the Griz won't come close to 100 against EWU. I do find it amusing that alphabitch1 has such a hard on for EWU. Actually, it's quite flattering. Thank you alphabitch1, your love of EWU is appreciated!Grizalltheway wrote:Um, yeah, that "real" team is barely squeaking by a D-II team at the moment...Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:

I don't think that EWU will walk away with that game, and I don't think the Griz will either. I think it will be a hard fought game between two of the top teams not only in the Big Sky, but in all of FCS.AlwaysAGriz wrote:100 blown assignments, mabye. Bank on it, alphabitch.

All I know is... after watching that game, I'd be very afraid to play the Griz. We are extremely fast and hard-hitting. I don't remember the last time I've been this excited early in the season

Agreed. Very refreshing to have a coach that doesn't hesitate to put the pedal to the metal.Silenoz wrote:All I know is... after watching that game, I'd be very afraid to play the Griz. We are extremely fast and hard-hitting. I don't remember the last time I've been this excited early in the season

Our line struggled?
Cool, I hope we struggle the same way against EWU.

Agreed, Griz looked good, but, I'm not sure if I'd be beating my chest about beating a really bad Division II team.Silenoz wrote:All I know is... after watching that game, I'd be very afraid to play the Griz. It would be nice if we really were this good, but the highlights are still fun to watch!
