This is an FCS message board, not your own team's board. Never assume everyone will agree with what you post. An explanation goes a long way. Saying "Portland State sucks" with a reason will go a lot further than "Portland State sucks, enough said!"

Couple of newbie suggestions - if not rules.

If your team has just won one big game - congratulations - if you proceed to act as thought it is on par with the App St three-peat... prepare for it to get ugly.

If your team hasn't won a conference title recently - you cannot bash the rest of their conference as "inferior"

You cannot use the word "dominant" to describe your team when they have conference foes they have never beaten.

If your squad has a run of pretty remarkable achievements, all things considered, do not cheapen them by boasting of how they are somehow only a portent of things to come.

If your school is now, or has recently joined Division I - do NOT under any circumstances refer to FCS as a "pit stop" on the way to FBS, unless this has already been a stated goal laid out by an athletic director or university president.

doing any of the above will make you - and by extension your fan base - universally loathed round these parts. if you have questions - ask NDSU and/or ODU posters.

if your team is ranked 20-25 don't bitch about how they're too low and are better than x team. if your team goes out and lays an egg the next week, be prepared to eat major crow.

southern nor grambling will be going to the playoffs because the Bayou Classic will never be moved. so you don't have to make that point/or ask that question when i post about our rivalry.

don't brag about how great your team is and then disappear when they lose to Lambuth.

nobody cares how many stars your recruits have, at all......

excuses for why your team lost will be ignore and the redicule will be great.
