Eh, if he leaves, he leaves. I like him, but we'll just get another coach that will take us to the national title - it's just how it's done in Delaware. I understand your lack of appreciation of that. If I was a UNI fan, I'd be pretty pissed off too that my program paled in comparison to the Hens.

An azz is still an azz regardless of the number of NC games they've taken their teams to.

It's human nature to judge a person based on your experience with them and that was my primary experience with Keeler so yes it's going to have a significant impact on my and others opinion of him. And i was pretty clear that 1) Keeler might represent the university well overall and 2) that if circumstances dictated I would give him an opportunity to demonstrate his character. So I haven't consigned him to hell just yet. Maybe you could provide a little evidence of what a standup guy he is to melt my heart and get me to forgive the poor misunderstood soul that is KC Keeler.jd of de wrote:Never knew the skins were so thin in Cedar Falls and hearts so unforgiving. Sounds like Delaware fans better enjoy him tonight because after the game....

at least it sounds like a strong possibility.

If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away.

There was an article in this morning's Wilmington News Urinal that described the UConn job in some detail. Perhaps an effort to prepare the Hen faithful for what might happen.COBBLESTONE wrote:Sounds like Delaware fans better enjoy him tonight because after the game....

Yet, there are not that many star transfers on UD's defense this season - the reason they are going to win another National Championship.D1B wrote:Who cares if he leaves? Delaware would simply need to find another shykster willing to troll FBS lockerrooms for malcontents and QB's.
Deleware's strength is in its FBS transfers, not its coaching staff.
On December 12, 1775 the Continental Congress created a Battalion of minuteman from the three counties in Delaware. Kent county militia were fans and owners of Game Cocks; Fight'n Blue Hens as they were called. The Fight'n Blue Hens became known far and wide as the very best Fighting Game Cocks around. Thus, the Blue Hen was established.

Uconn is not the program KC will leave Delaware for, but if Pitt came a calling?????????93henfan wrote:1. There are indications that KC Keeler has won Coach of the Year, per a reliable insider on GoHens. I guess they can't do official announcements yet but they've made arrangements for him to be at halftime of the Auburn/Oregon game.
2. Talk, rumors, innuendo, etc. are heating up regarding Keeler to UConn. Hope it doesn't happen, but wish him well if it does. The News Journal's main UD beat writer mentioned in his blog that he asked KC about it today and KC walked away. Take from that what you will. Hopefully he's just focused on the game.

KC has withdrawn from consideration for the UConn job:

Because speculation about his future is undermining recruiting, K.C. Keeler said he had his agent, Gary O’Hagen, inform Connecticut officials he is not interested in being a candidate for the Huskies’ head football coach vacancy. “Every team who is recruiting against us is using this,” Keeler told me today by phone from Phoenix, where he’ll attend the Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year awards event Monday...

What's the difference? This could also be a way for Keeler to save face if he found out that UConn was no longer interested.93henfan wrote:KC has withdrawn from consideration for the UConn job:

Wow! Keeler really must've been the frontrunner for the UConn job. I'm getting deluges with e-mails from Cuse grads laughing their asses off that UConn has hired Paul Pascualoni (sp) for the job.
