Eh, if he leaves, he leaves. I like him, but we'll just get another coach that will take us to the national title - it's just how it's done in Delaware. I understand your lack of appreciation of that. If I was a UNI fan, I'd be pretty pissed off too that my program paled in comparison to the Hens.
No battle here G. UNI sucks. I jumped off that bus after the Richmond game in 2007. Start a thread about Farley if you want, but your thoughts on him have nothing to do with the fact that Keeler is a FBS troll and has never won a significant game or NC WITHOUT a FBS QB. :coffee:
Sorry forgot to include their Cigarette Smoking, Petty Theft/Shake Down and Fraud degrees. :geek:

KC might represent the university well overall but in that instance he did not. And that instance left an indelible impression of the true nature of Keeler's character on a lot of UNI fans. I could give 2 shits about other coaches in the CAA, we're talking about Keeler here. And 8 NC games in 8 years doesn't give you the right to be an azz to a student of another university. An azz is still an azz regardless of the number of NC games they've taken their teams to.
Never knew the skins were so thin in Cedar Falls and hearts so unforgiving. Certainly not the Iowa of my youth. But if you wish to condemn one human over one event such as this I guess thats one way to deal with a couple of heart breaking losses. I always thought Iowans had more common sense than that; maybe all that nitrogen knifed into the soil each spring has reached the water table there.

Do you Golf? I have an Illini golf umbrella still in the packaging that I won in a long drive contest. I'm a Nebraska and Wisconsin fan.

PM me if you want it.

It's human nature to judge a person based on your experience with them and that was my primary experience with Keeler so yes it's going to have a significant impact on my and others opinion of him. And i was pretty clear that 1) Keeler might represent the university well overall and 2) that if circumstances dictated I would give him an opportunity to demonstrate his character. So I haven't consigned him to hell just yet. Maybe you could provide a little evidence of what a standup guy he is to melt my heart and get me to forgive the poor misunderstood soul that is KC Keeler. :D

Sounds like Delaware fans better enjoy him tonight because after the game....

at least it sounds like a strong possibility.

There was an article in this morning's Wilmington News Urinal that described the UConn job in some detail. Perhaps an effort to prepare the Hen faithful for what might happen.

Deleware's strength is in its FBS transfers, not its coaching staff. :tothehand:
Yet, there are not that many star transfers on UD's defense this season - the reason they are going to win another National Championship.
On December 12, 1775 the Continental Congress created a Battalion of minuteman from the three counties in Delaware. Kent county militia were fans and owners of Game Cocks; Fight'n Blue Hens as they were called. The Fight'n Blue Hens became known far and wide as the very best Fighting Game Cocks around. Thus, the Blue Hen was established.

The News Journal's main UD beat writer mentioned in his blog that he asked KC about it today and KC walked away. Take from that what you will. Hopefully he's just focused on the game.
Uconn is not the program KC will leave Delaware for, but if Pitt came a calling????????? :ohno:

KC has withdrawn from consideration for the UConn job:

http://blogs.delawareonline.com/college ... tball-job/
Because speculation about his future is undermining recruiting, K.C. Keeler said he had his agent, Gary O’Hagen, inform Connecticut officials he is not interested in being a candidate for the Huskies’ head football coach vacancy. “Every team who is recruiting against us is using this,” Keeler told me today by phone from Phoenix, where he’ll attend the Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year awards event Monday...

What's the difference? They are in the same conference and offer the opportunity to succeed at the FBS level.

This could also be a way for Keeler to save face if he found out that UConn was no longer interested.

Wow! Keeler really must've been the frontrunner for the UConn job. I'm getting deluges with e-mails from Cuse grads laughing their asses off that UConn has hired Paul Pascualoni (sp) for the job.
