UNI offense was flat against what was the best defense in the Big12 last year but the UNI defense was much better than last year, holding ISU to 250 yards (vs. 279 for UNI). In the first half the Cyclones outside of one long drive scored on a Pick 6, had a punt return to the 21 yard line that led to a TD, and kicked a FG as the half expired after another turnover.
