Agree, but Buddy Ryan wasn't much of an offensive genius. Cunningham likely had to earn his stats a bit more than McNabb. I really don't have an opinion on which one was better, btw.
No doubt. One coach made his name as a DC and for his 46 defense. The other made his name being Brett Favre's QB coach in Green Bay.

And I think Randall would have been a far better QB with a coach who didn't basically say, "I'll focus on the defense and let #12 do whatever he does on the other side of the ball." I'm paraphrasing, but Buddy made comments to that effect many times over the years.

Keith Byars, Herschel Walker, Keith Jackson, Mike Quick, Cris Carter, Fred Barnett, Calvin Williams and many others would beg to differ.
McNabb got one good WR (Terrell Owens) for one year and got to a Super Bowl, losing by 3 points to a team that knew his team's signals via videotape cheating.
I loved both guys, btw. McNabb did get a little salty toward the end, especially, and never embraced the Philadelphia fan base much (understandable, when you get booed by a band of radio station-bussed thugs on draft day).
Cunningham really did embrace Philly. Cunningham took a beating by the Philly media, but always brushed it off.

This last season was the first time in 46 years the Broncos had back to back losing seasons. In game poor decisions by Vance Joseph caused a minimum of 3 losses. With a good head coach and a decent draft, Broncos will resume their normal place in the playoffs.

Hah. And I double checked the roster to see if the receiving corps was decimated and it wasn't. Fred Barnett started all 16 and Calvin Williams started 14. That was a decent set of bookends. Plus they had Herschel Walker, Charlie Garner, and Vaughn Hebron rushing.
I will say this. He had the biggest bust of a rookie LT ever in Bernard "Toke Em If You Got 'Em" Williams. Started all 16 games in 1994 and never played or passed a drug test again.

The list of Eagles first round busts is long and fairly undistinguished. May have started with Michael Haddix and just got worse from there. Andy Reid even picked a 27 year old volunteer fireman. Classic.

And to add to the equation, the other tag motivation would be to keep Foles out of the division, and with the Skins and Giants not showing serious interest, that wasn't a concern any longer.
