Well after qualifying 1-2-3, at least JGR didn't win again. But they got 3 in the top 10. Seems like most races the last couple of months has been battling at the end 2 f the 3: a JGR driver, Logano, and Harvick. JGR has won 5 of the last 7 with Logano winning 2...

More PC pussism by NASCAR.. :ohno:

The Camping World CEO (a former donk rep from FL)- what a douche. Trump's comments weren't racist or bigoted, and he wasn't talking about immigrants. He was talking about Illegal immigrants.

NASCAR's leadership is out of the mainstream of the fans, at least the ones who attends the races. I bet the overwhelming majority of those at Bristol on Sat night if polled would not have seen Trumps comments as racist or bigoted & wouldn't have agreed with pulling the Xfinity & Cup Series banquets.

Confederate Flags Crash Nascar’s Plan for a Homecoming
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/09/06/sport ... ss&emc=rss" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

What a bunch of BS, track officials claiming elevated flags in the infield blocked sightlines. :roll: When have they ever claimed that before?

I was at Bristol 2 weeks ago and guestimate 5%-10% of the flags (outfield) were Confederate. I will be at Darlington today imagine will be at least that...

Well BDK, I hope you filled up several jugs of Sheetz coffee before that yellow fest. Longest race of the season. Longer than the World 600. Jesus that was tough to watch on TV.

The prerace with all the HOF'ers was nice though and FSN and NBC did a great job on the Darlington history segments. NBC did the open with their 1970s font and the NBC tone and in black and white for a few seconds. And Ken Squire! First commercial was the Mean Joe Green Coke commercial where he tosses his jersey to the kid that gives him a coke.

Crowd was great. Retro colors were great on the cars. Race sucked. At least Darlington has Labor Day back again, as it should have always been. Now they just need to regain dates at Rockingham and N Wilkesboro and perhaps the racing Gods will smile on the sport.

Did not see the Bandit. They did have the 33 car done up in classic green and white, but no Skoal on the hood and side to complete the effect. :(

That was one badass-looking car in a day when green was considered bad luck.

Yep, I had Sheetz stops Sat and Sun...4 hrs, 19 minute race. Good crowd- looked close to full. 18 cautions broke old track record of 17...Race didn't end till about 11:45..Traffic didn't start flowing till about 0215...

Confederate flags out in force. I'd say outfield parking between 10-20% of the flags (about double the % I saw at Bristol 2 weeks ago) (and with about that % of fans wearing something with a confederate flag. Heck when we got a bief sprinkle during early driver intros people 2 rows in front of me pulled out a big confederate naval jack flag that they used as a poncho)..The Infield I'd say around 25% of the flags were confederate- I counted 25 just in nearest 3rd of the infield to me in Turns 3-4 (I was sitting Turn 4 Pearson Grandstands). 15 laps into the race I was stunned to see that almost ALL the infield flags had been lowered- Driver flags, Confederate, US, Don't Tread on Me, whatever. The guy next to me said he'd been coming for about a decade and he'd never seen that before. NASCAR officials claimed that had always been the policy to not block sightlines for TV, but fans weren't buying it...F'ing PC Police at NASCAR.. :ohno:

When the 'S' in NASCAR stood for "Stock!" :notworthy:

Cale was the first driver I rooted for until I got to ride around Dover Downs at speed in a racecar with Dale Earnhardt in 1980, and I became an Earnhardt fan from there out.

Glad to see Kyle Busch win it this year! He has been on a tear since breaking his leg/foot early on. I think I am the only one I know who likes him. He is similar, but needs to be a little bit more aggressive, to be like Dale E.

Went to the race on Sat evening instead of the JMU game. May as well have called it the JGR invitational. At one point had all 4 JGR cars #1-#4. And not only that, was a 4 car JGR breakaway...ridiculous. Kenseth wins and all 4 JGR finish top 6.

Been to 5 races this year: April RIR, May Dover, and the last 3 (over the last 4 weekends): Bristol, Darlington, and RIR. That's it for me. 2nd Dover moved it to the 1st weekend in Oct. I thought it was always held in Sept? Edit: I just looked it up and 40 some times held in Sept and 1 time in Oct in 2011. Anyway, if it was held the 3rd-4th weekend of Sept as per usual then I could go. But not the 1st weekend in Oct.

Not that it matters, but Kyle Busch and Kenseth both have 4 wins. Kenseth had way more points since Kyle missed 11 races. How is it Busch 2nd and Kenseth 3rd?

Oh well, Dover will only draw 49,999 people then.

Richmond looked like a terrible crowd on TV, btw. Huge empty sections all around the track. Sad to see after the good Darlington Labor Day crowd.

I'm not going to Dover this fall either. I'm letting my youngest son go with my dad. He's excited. He got the NASCAR bug bad this year.

Good picks except Harvick not making the Final 8 :shock: 26 races a ridiculous 22 Top 10, 18 Top 5, 12 Top 2 (a record 10 2nd place finishes). Last 2 months/8 races outside of Pocono & Richmond, he's the only driver to consistently challenge JGR and Penske for wins..

Ok BITCHES.....Where do we start the petition for Danica to make the Chase? She has been a solid TOP 20 this year. Not one driver has ever, in the history of NASCAR, ever been as a solid 19 place finish as Danica. She is constantly average...if she doesn't wreck on the first lap and end up last...

And the race prior to Darlington, Bristol.

My 3rd RIR race. Last 2 times I was Turn 2 Dogwood and Turn 4 Colonial. This time was Commonweath, sitting low, only 8 rows up, about 100 feet past Start/Finish. Didn't skim through race (forgot to record), but I thought live the frontstrech and turns 4 &1 looked pretty full & the backstretch and turns 2 & 3 were sparse. Anyway, weather forecasts didn't help. Friday through Sat afternoon I was betting on a delay and thinking they might have a repeat of April when the race was rained out till Sun.
Friday morning:

Saturday morning:
http://www.sbnation.com/nascar/2015/9/1 ... t-saturday" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Turns out Richmond got AM rain and hammered by a mid afternoon thunderstorm (I was still driving on 301 when that happened), the rain ended about 6 PM, and the drop of the Green was only delayed about 15 min or so while the jet dryers got the last of pit road dry..
