High School football players attack referee

They have been suspended by the school and the referee is attempting to press charges.

I hope the ref gets them in court, and those two fuckers get the punishment they deserve...like no sports ever, expelled and get their faces plastered everywhere.

My daughter's HS played that same HS in soccer last year in the playoffs...SUPER dirty team. Cheap shot artists on the soccer field as well. Hope those fuckers go down in flames.

There's a huge gulf between wanting to do something and actually doing something. These kids should be banned for life from sports as a result.

They should be required to referee field hockey for two years. Wait, that's cruel and unusual punishment.

Supposedly now an assistant coach has been put on administrative leave for saying "the ref needs to pay for cheating us".

This actually happens quite frequently in baseball. Catcher gets "crossed up" and the home plate ump gets drilled by a pitch.

That happened to me a couple when I was umping baseball....same team each time.

Pulled the same shit almost every game on whomever was behind the plate

Not even close to the same. The two kids went about 15-20 yards each to hit the ref and it's not like they got confused or mixed up and didn't know the ref was there. And getting hit with a baseball in the chest protector or the mask is not anywhere close to getting drilled in the back by a fully suited up football player when you're not wearing pads yourself.
