Cowboys are 2-0 but now without their QB and best WR for the next ??? weeks
Giants are 0-2 after choking 2 games away after the final 2 minute warning
Eagles are 0-2 and not looking good
Skins may look like the least messed up team (assuming Romo and Dez are out for a while) at 1-1. Who would have thought?
No Dez and the Cowboys were okay, they could make due. But no Romo and it's not looking good. :ohno:
Weeden was 7/7 for 73 yards...

Yes but that was late in the game when the Cowboys had the lead. I'm talking about the entire game resting on his shoulders. :coffee:

And playing somebody other than the Eagles. Face it, both the Eagles and the Cowboys are screwed this year - at least the Cowboys can rightfully blame it on injuries, the Eagles just got nothing.

Somehow, I knew the wheels would come off this season. The Eagles are one of those franchises where, at some point, something will go wrong. It's just a question of when. The NFL equivalent of the Chicago Cubs. :twocents:

To be screwed though you need to have someone else to go on top. Cowboys still have the potential to win the division. They are only 1 over the Skins but 2 over the Giants and Eagles. If the Giants had managed to win 1 of the first 2 games, I'd give them a better chance but they are finding ways to lose games where they are in control. And the Skins are the Skins.

So you're saying...
getting rid of all your talent and signing up a bunch of guys with no experience in the system might not work..?
My guess is the Eagles will be working at full speed by about game 5 of the season

The problem is there's still three weeks of losing football ahead
but I bet they close out the season on a roll

It's not unprecedented. Let's not forget that the 2007 Giants squad started 0-2 and won the Superbowl and the 2011 Giants squad was 7-7 after week 15 and won the Super Bowl.

Two weeks is only 12.5% of the regular season. They need to get it going soon though, and they look horrid right now.

Eagles need to help a man out in coverage. Maxwell has been thrown at 19 times, given up 240 yards, and 2 TDs (perfect QB rating of 158.3). Send a freaking safety over him already!

I'm not entirely sure, but yesterday I think Troy Aikman was less than impressed with both teams. He mighta said something about it on-air...again, not entirely sure.

Wha!

I actually totally dig it when Aikman talks down the quality of play
and Joe Buck is the perfect straight man to set up the Aikman complaining

How could you NOT enjoy that last night..?

Aikman does provide more valuable insight that Joe Fuckyou. He used to be such a Cowboys homer but has gotten better over the years. Last night though he went a little over the top trying not to be such a homer
Which really what everyone was thinking. The only group he didn't completely through under the bus, at least not directly, was the refs.

Agreed. Aikman has grown on me over time and seems to have gotten over that Buddy Ryan ass-whoopin' the Eagles laid on his 'Boys years ago when Dallas was in the toilet. But Buck -- whose hatred for all things Philadelphia is legendary (and mutual) -- has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. His late father is still 100 times better than he'll ever be.

That's because he desires Tom Brady carnally.

Nothing but good news out of South Philly this week.

Kiko Alonso (ie. the guy we traded McCoy for) is done for the season (ACL).

Aaaaaaaaand, today Demarco Murray left practice with a possible hammy pull.

Ain't that some shit?

The Pope will be in town this weekend. Maybe he can help. Skins are hoping that his 3 day presence in the area will help them get 2 wins in a row.

To be fair and not trying to show favoritism to any one team playing another one this weekend, Skins @ Giants tonight and Eagles @ Jets Sunday are the 4 teams in the areas where the Pope is travelling in the US.
