Pope THIS and Pope THAT...

Post by JohnStOnge »

ENOUGH ALREADY! I can't even watch TV while I'm playing on my computer because a lot of the channels I like to watch are all Pope all the time. I turn on Fox News and MSNBC and they're BOTH showing a friggin' mass. Yes I know it's a canonization but for Pete's sake can't we just report that there was a canonization? Do we actually have to WATCH all that mumbo jumbo?

WE KNOW THE POPE IS IN THE UNITED STATES. You don't have to have all Pope all the time coverage that's about as stimulating as watching grass grow.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

I am sure the visit of the first Jesuit Pope to America is of ZERO interest to you.

 A copule hours once every 20 years. I'd be willing to bet you get at least 120 channels that don't have ANY Pope coverage. BTW, how many hours did those same channels you mention devote to trapped miners in Chile?

Have you forgotten John Paul II's trips to the US? The first one was in 1979, before he was shot. He got a lot of adulation too, and TV coverage. His angle was anti-Communism. Remember?

Remember that last Pope, whatever his name was? Palpatine or something? The one between the two cool Popes?

No but back then I was in college so having something to watch on TV wasn't as important to me.

I don't get the Popeamania either. And I'm Catholic. I do not like how he's being treated like a politician. He's neither left or right.

The post-hole digger is unique. He should wear it all the time. But I understand why he has to go with the yarmulke with apple stem when he needs to squeeze into the Fiat.

Go read a book or kick one of your pets or have sex with small woodland creatures. No one is forcing you to watch TV or to keep your TV on the same channel
