What's the harm of a little comparison shopping?

Usually skeptics, New Yorkers are all abuzz about the remarkable number of rainbows seen over the Pope's travels in the city yesterday -- especially following the rainbow that appeared over the World Trade Center site on the eve of 9/11 this year.

Yes, I know, coincidences.

OK. You have a point there.

On a serious note, I've been listening to the Pope's talk at the World Meeting of Families tonight. He's nailing it. He's nailing the whole trip. What a guy. Poo on JSO.

I liked his speech to the UN. Too bad no one listens.

Rainbows followed Pope Francis around Philadelphia too.

BTW, my wife was at the Mass at MSG and had to wait in line four hours to get in. She got in just after the Pope's motorcade arrived at the Garden. At the moment she saw the motorcade pass, she looked up and saw a rainbow form over the Garden. She snapped a picture on her phone.

Well, Pope Frank is winging his way back to the Vatican. His trip was a great success. Maybe he can kick back and put those comfy red shoes on now.

I like Jim Gaffigan. The guy has good, clean comedy. Apparently, he joked around with Philly assaulting Santa Claus years ago and the crowed turned on him.

Original material goes over better than unoriginal material.

If it ever snows in Charleston, I sure hope your daughter doesn't "assault" you.

Btw, I like Gaffigan too, but that was the equivalent of going to Boone NC and making Hot, Hot, Hot jokes. It's been played out.

Eh, I was there, it wasn't a big deal. He brought up that Philly is tough because we booed Santa - he got some boos, moved on, and the rest of the act went fine and got plenty of laughs. He should've been better about falling back on that often misquoted trope, but he recovered and did fine. Once he got to the family jokes and his kids he was good.

I can imagine. I hadn't heard of the incident before I read the article.

And agreed, use the material that works.

Nope. I can't tell you the last time I watched a NFL game. Maybe the Super Bowl a year or so ago.

The Pope met with America's favorite County Clerk during his visit.

Vatican confirms pope met Kentucky clerk in gay marriage row
VATICAN CITY - Pope Francis met a Kentucky county clerk last week who was jailed for refusing to issue marriage licenses to gay couples, the Vatican said on Wednesday, confirming earlier reports from the United States.

"I do not deny that the meeting took place, but I have no comment to add," Vatican spokesman Federico Lombardi said in a statement.
