Agreed there. As I have said many times on the boards, I need to do a better job of conveying my tone better. I think I sometimes come off as a dick, when it was never meant that way.

I never did get a chance to read that book, but since you have asked twice, I will read it if you send it. I will PM you my address.

For what it is worth, I just try to play devils advocate on the very few topics on this board that I can. I realize much of what I am asking for proof, will be very hard to prove just because it happened so long ago.
Uh, SG you aint a dick. AzGrizfan is. ;)

I hope you enjoy the book.

Finally got a chance to come back and answer your question. I wish I could honestly say I came up with all of these ideas all by myself, but have to rely on others much smarter than I to find these holes.

1) Incomplete fossil record (which you stated).
*He also pointed out that the fossil record is getting fuller every day. There are very complete fossil records for thousands of individual species, thus validating theory. That we have not found complete fossil records of the millions upon millions of species that have existed is not a very strong criticism, in fact it's reaching.

2) Lack of a cogent explanation by Evolutionists for the Cambrian explosion in diversity.
*Explain this and explain the ID explanation of the Cambrian explosion including why would an intelligent designer create such flawed beasts.

3) The holy grail of evolutionists, the "Tree of Life" has been torn to pieces by negative evidence found by evolutionists.
*Explain this.

4) Lack of missing links. In regards to this particular thread, why all the excitement to finally have proof? I thought evolution was already complete? Plus there still is a large void of intermediate fossils.

*See #1. BTW, this particular fossil is exciting because it's part of OUR fossil record. Anything related to humans is exciting.

5) Too many inconsistencies. Example below:

*I think you are full of **** here too, but I'll check this out. I remember reading about this criticism and it's flaws. If memory serves, like the fossil record allegation, it's boilerplate religious argument against theory.

Like Clenz, I will have to take a pass on this one for a couple of days. The kids just went to bed and I have to finish up some work. Then tomorrow, I finally get to go to a Mariners game after an all day meeting with my peers. Should be too hung over to do crap Friday.

Shitty. Fucked up work schedule. I got one of those "mgt. retreats" all fucking day tomorrow and of course, during the busiest time of year. Why to CEO's think these bullshit things are effective? Everyone hates em, they're stupid, expensive and unproductive. Fuck, just take the money and buy drinks for everyone Friday after work.

Accidently fell asleep after work today and woke up about an hour ago. I'll be up for a while.... :|

If they're done right, they can be great. For instance...

I took my staff whitewater rafting on some Class IV rapids a while back when I lived in Alaska. We had to take a class, pass a test where we had to swim a class III and learn other stuff. One of my staff was a 63 year old woman who never did anything like that. It was a thrilling and great learning, bonding and teamwork exercise. We ended the day getting fucked up beyond belief at a gourmet pizza place at the base of Mt. Aleyeska in Girdwood....

3) The holy grail of evolutionists, the "Tree of Life" has been torn to pieces by negative evidence found by evolutionists.

I actually went to a seminar this year from one of the world leaders in evolutionary biology/genetics... his specific field, generating phylogenic trees. From the beginning of his work he was resolved that the tree of life was a misconception, that there wasn't a base and everything didn't evolutionarily progressed upwards in a linear fashion branching here and there. Instead, this guy has proposed that any phylogenic tree should look more like a spider web. So technically, this "tree of life" argument you are making is BS as scientist were merely pissed that this guy would challenge Darwins historical theory... and now most feel that he's proved the tree of life theory wrong... BUT that does not mean he, or any other evolutionist, does not believe evolution still occurs. They've simply disproved one Theory and provided another Theory.

If you care to look this article up, this is the one where this scientist I am speaking of proposes that evolution occurs by other means. This is the article that pissed off all your fundamental Darwinians who had taken the tree theory as fact. However, again... these scientist weren't attacking evolution

8-) Most truthy. Also to clarify, I tend to get snippy with the ID crowd not because of what they believe, but because of why they believe it. In fact, Seattle Griz gets reps from me because he is the first of his kind that I've run across to even attempt to state a theory of intelligent design rather than hang his hat on the "holes in this theory are proof of a different theory" peg. Fact is that nobody knows that we aren't just a contaminant in some giant petri dish or something.

BTW, wrt the Big Bang, I read an interesting article somewhere about the "arrow of time" and it's implication for the "beginning of everything". The mangled version is that we experience the progression of what we call time in one direction, always from a state of less entropy (disorder) to a state of more entropy, in fact that is almost a definition of time. Any time in the future will be a state of more entropy; makes sense what with the universe expanding and all. Likewise any time in the past was a state of less entropy (more order). When we look far out in the universe we are looking at the past in which the universe had more order to it. Follow that back to the Big Bang and the implication is that at that time the universe was a very ordered place. If I were going to push ID that's the path I would follow.

 We might be in the cylinder of a big ol' V8 engine and the Big Bang was a spark plug igniting. Our universe is expanding as the piston rushes away from us.

There is a physicist by the name of Frank Tippler (The Physics of Immortality) that thinks we are part of a huge computer program, and he offers whole chapters of math that look like they came off of an Egyptian tomb to support his contention.
