True, but in the context of kalm's troll about Christians, the stereotype is that those people are white fundie Christians.
Did I say white? :suspicious:

Did I say you said white? :?

I said the stereotype for any self respecting progtard is that in a story concerning Christians and Satan and blowing shit up is that the people referred to in the article are white Christian fundies.

Yes and there's no reason for that. The only reason for wanting to do that is you're just an asshole.

If you really believe what it says there's absolutely no reason to go around jabbing at other people with signs like that. If you believe it and you're doing that you're just a dick whose only purpose is to irritate people.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

Kind of is a dickish move. But you realize it's a direct response to religious dickishness, right?

Au contraire, Pierre. People are erecting these signs with the intention of helping those poor simpletons who think that virgins have babies and dead people walk out of their graves and fly away up into the sky. Surely you don't have a beef with somebody trying to help out?
You matter. Unless you multiply yourself by c squared. Then you energy.

I believe in God. You don't, I guess.

Don't lump me in with this all white hate group. And I won't either.

Who said I was lumping you in with them? All I did was answer his (rather silly) question. :coffee:

And you think representing one belief system is the same thing as claiming superiority of one belief system over another?
And you think changing the subject will somehow dismiss your original statement..?

Insecurity is a part of the human condition, but the level of security amongst certain christians is a whole other level...
After a long fight that famously included the prospect of a Satanic statue being erected at the Oklahoma statehouse, a monument of the Ten Commandments has finally been removed, NBC News reports.

The Temple’s spokesperson, Lucien Greaves, told Jezebel that the removal of the Ten Commandments was a win-win for the Satanists. In an email to Jezebel, he wrote:

It’s important to understand that we’re neither fighting exclusively for 10 Commandments monuments to be removed, nor are we merely fighting for the right to put Baphomet on government property. What we’re fighting against is a situation in which one particular viewpoint enjoys the appearance of privileged treatment and governmental authority. Despite finding our offices of public service besieged by proselytizing evangelicals, clearly trying to advance a distinct religious agenda, we still live in a pluralistic nation where “religious liberty” isn’t theirs alone.

But even as the monument was removed under court order, Governor Mary Fallin (R) has already launched a campaign to restore it.

“It’s not a Republican, Democrat or independent issue,” Fallin said at a news conference in Oklahoma City, according to NBC. “The Ten Commandments is a historical monument. We brought it to this location. We felt it was a good place to be able to display it properly so people could see it.” :ohno:

The Satanic Temple has joined the cause of the Universal Society of Hinduism in a similar fight for pluralism in Arkansas, where lawmakers have erected a Ten Commandments monument on state capitol grounds but told the Hindu organization they could not erect a statue of Hanuman, a deity in their faith. :thumb: :ohno:

The Satanic Temple plans to seek approval to put their bronze, 8.5-foot tall Baphomet statue at the capitol as well.

What do you think of putting a statue of a goat-headed demi-god up on the old capital lawn?

Two sides of the same coin. In lieu of physical proof, astronomical odds of a Supreme Creator or life created from nothing eventually becomes everything. I like the God odds better as well.

As for hateful Christians, we all know that is not what is taught.

See how easy that was without the snark?

Are you sure that's not what's taught? Seems kinda snarky to me...

How would you take it if an atheist teacher told your kid you were a bad person for believing in Christ?
