No way. I don't trust the Bungles or the Panthers that high. Buffalo doesn't have a quarterback, AND they have a guy who's liable to go ape[bleep] at any moment and is already under suspension for knocking out a teammate.
Right now, for me, it's Packers/Patriots/Broncos/Seahawks in one group, Cardinals/Falcons in another, and then a large gap to everyone else.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Your top 6 is solid but I don't think theres much daylight between them. Also- a lot of sports outlets have the Falcons running away with the NFC South but I think they split with the Panthers and it comes down to overall record
We have an insufferable Seahawks fan here in Lagos who send out wide emails each week with NFL results and then her own commentary about the awesome Seahawks
I hope the Panthers win so I can rub her nose in her poop and whack her with a newspaper

The Packers have a top rated defense and Aaron Rogers... that gets you TOP billing
The patriots have the leagues 8th ranked Defense and the most complete offense
The Broncos have HANDS DOWN the best defense in football
and if they figure out how to score at all then watch out
The Bengals have a solid offense and a solid defense all the way around good team
The Falcons found a real coach and a real running back and have Julio Jones - they will win some games
The Panthers are in a sh!t division - They have zero offensive weapons of note...
So they will easily make the playoffs but I'm not convinced they can beat the 5 teams above them

I have a ton of respect for the Rams defense and their one weapon... a rookie running back
The Cardinals lost AT HOME to the Rams - you can't lose games at home
If they lose to the Rams on the road then fair enough but at home you DROP in ranking

Re: NFL Power Ranking (week-by-week)
Gotta have the Steelers in there somewhere - other than the Bengals, they're the only team that has a shot at beating the Pats in the AFC (no chance for the Broncos to do so). Panthers are frauds as well, and possibly so are the Falcons (no more NFC East games for the Falcons to scrape wins out of).Chizzang wrote:1. Packers

10/19 Week
1 - Packers
2 - Patriots
3 - Panthers
4 - Bengals
5 - Broncos
6 - Atlanta
7- Pittsburgh
8- NY Jets
9- Cardinals
Things drop off pretty fast after that...
Fast Risers
* Pittsburgh is winning with NOBODY at Quarterback (that's hard to do... ask Dallas)
at full strength the Steelers might be really good
* Jets have the same number of wins already as last year
and might make the playoffs (good lord who knew getting Rid of Rex Ryan worked so well)
* Vikings find a way to win games with a lot of holes on both sides of the ball
Sinking Fast
Picked by some to win the NFC / Seattle - Ouch..!
Picked by some to Win the NFC / Cardinals - You can't lose soundly to a Pittsburgh team with no quarterback
Buffalo was picked by some to go to the Super Bowl (imagine that)
1 - Packers
2 - Patriots
3 - Panthers
4 - Bengals
5 - Broncos
6 - Atlanta
7- Pittsburgh

Re: NFL Power Ranking (week-by-week)
The Jets turnaround isn't because of the coaching change. Look at their roster now and compare it to last year - light years better. Add 2 top CBs and a top 10 pick on D with a new QB, #1 WR, and another Olineman (James Carpenter) and you can see why they are where they are now.Chizzang wrote:10/19 Week

Well, at least you mention the Steelers this week (and I'm an Eagles fan, so I have no love for Pittsburgh), but you still have them too low. They're the only team that has a legit chance to go into Foxboro and win. You need to score on the Pats to beat them, which eliminated Denver (and really, Manning couldn't win in Foxboro when he was good, so what chance does he have to do it now when he's around Bradford's level?). And until Cincy wins a playoff game, I can't really see them being able to win a huge game there either. The Pats defense is their soft underbelly, and the Steelers have offensive weapons galore and almost beat the Pats this year with only some of them playing.Chizzang wrote:10/19 Week

In the AFC it's the Pats, then Steelers, then Bengals, and then it doesn't matter.
In the NFC it's the Packers and then it doesn't matter.

Pittsburgh isn't even going to win their own division so...
I don't see how they can rank above the team that is going to win the division
The Panthers have a the No.3 ranked Defense and the 6th ranked Offense and they haven't lost a game
Technically speaking the Panthers are out performing the Packers
Denver is winning games the same way the Ravens used to win games by giving up only 17 points per game

Just FYI, the Colts played the Pats as close as the Steelers, and if not for the dumbest play in football history, who knows what the results would have been.
