Royals come back from 3-0 deficit to beat Jays again, 6-3.

Royals pound Jays, 14-2, to go up 3 games to 1!

It would be good to see KC get the WS title that they came so close to getting last year. Go Royals (assuming the Cubs don't make a miraculous comeback).

Re: 2015 MLB Playoffs
Interesting team salary information of those teams in the playoffs with MLB ranking according to ESPN page:
1. Dodgers - Lost NLDS
2. Yankees - Lost AL WC
8. Rangers - Lost ALDS
11. Cardinals - Lost NLDS
12. Cubs - Down 3-0 NLCS
13. Toronto - Down 3-1 ALCS
15. Royals - Up 3-1 ALCS
20. Mets - Up 3-0 NLCS
24. Pirates - Lost NL WC
29. Astros - Lost ALDS
Pretty evenly spread out as 3 of top 10, 4 of next 9, and 3 of bottom 11 are all in the playoffs and the survivors appear to be 15th and 20th biggest spenders in the league.
Mets are low spenders because they have the young pitching staff which could be around for a few years before they get their big contracts. Since the Wilpons screwed up their investments with Madoff, they have had to do things the right way - build through their system and then fill in some holes at the trading deadline. I get people don't like whatever is NY (can say the same about Boston, Philly and some other cities), but this Mets team is a good one to root for.

Now they can go back to be Royals fans for the 2nd year in a row.

So many bandwagon Mets fans here.
In typical New York fashion, the 'fan's wait until after the game/series is won before they don that teams gear. So many people the last two days wearing Mets gear that haven't worn any all year (except the day after they clinched the NL East). I swear, it's like NY fans are just a bunch of pussies who are afraid to admit they root for a team that isn't winning.
To add, I haven't seen a single Giants hat/jersey/shirt all week.

Those of us who are longtime suffering Mets/Jets fans (usually one and the same fans) are just enjoying it all but are cautious about saying too much because we know that we at times have believed and then it has come to a crushing end.bandl wrote:Mine's not.clenz wrote:And my facebook and twitter timeline cans finally go back to normal.

And it's not just typical NY fashion - I have seen the same wherever I have been. Ravens and O's fans enjoyed things a number of times over the past bunch of years (and they all magically came out of the woodwork which I had not seen before) but haven't seen them at all this year with the exception of the diehards who were always there.

Re: 2015 MLB Playoffs
No. I always root for the Mets/Jets but I am not going to go talking shit before a series because it has had a history of backfiring. Anyone who knows me, knows I am diehard fan of both teams and will always root for them no matter what and no other team is close to my favorite. I am just not going to be one of those guys that is going to guarantee wins and do those types of things (just like most diehards of both of these teams) because it has led to heartbreak too many times.bandl wrote:As I said, NY fans only root for their teams when they are winning, as you just admittedtribe_pride wrote:

All teams have bandwagonners who only come out when a team is winning. In MLB, I have seen it with the Red Sox, Cubs, Yankees, O's, Nats, etc all over the past 10 years. Sure the west coast and others have it too just have not been there around times when they were successful.
