NBA 2015-2016 Season

Post by Gil Dobie »

First game last night for the T-Wolves. Defeated the Lakers in LA. Rubio had a big night, he and Garnett were seen pointing to the sky in reference to Flip Saunders. Wolves will be wearing a FLIP patch this season.

Why didn't he mention that on the debate? :?

Nice game by Okafor to open things up. Of course, the Sixers are already in deep tank mode for another year, but I'm liking Okafor and Noel in the paint for the next decade. :thumb:

I didn't see it, but I heard the Lakers did a good job in the pregame tribute to Flip Saunders. :thumb:

Blazers got 37 from Lehigh grad CJ McCollum and beat New Orleans. Weber State grad Damian Lillard had 11 assists. New chapter unfolding for the Blazers, but it felt good to get the win.

Well, he was perfect from the floor in his debut. Although he's going to have to take more than 3 shots every 25 minutes if he's going to approach ROY status. Just saying.

Okafor is looking like the offensive stud people thought he could be. He's never going to be a great rebounder, but he's already looking like he'll be an offensive force.

Sixers getting some decent early production from Stauskus as well as undrafted TJ McConnell. With Noel in there as a defender/rebounder starting to see some semblance of a core developing for the Sixers. As long as they suck again this year, then get all 4 first round picks, this could be the start of something. Won't see Saric in the States for another two years, but hopefully in two years this thing has blossomed into legit conference contenders.

Townes averaging over 15 points and nearly 10 boards per game.

Last night the Wolves blew a 34 point lead, but hung on to beat Hotlanta with a couple key blocks by Townes and 33 points by Wiggins.

Like I said...A lot of potential. A lot of talent.

It's very young and unseasoned.

Didn't help last night losing to Charlotte, with 3 starters out (Wiggins, Rubio and Garnett).

Sixers now 0-13. The 72-73 team's woeful record is in jeopardy with this bunch. Go for 82! :thumb:

Going all in for Ben Simmons. No sense for the Sixers to be good this year. They have four, count them 4, first round picks, and by ensuring they are the worst team in the league, it helps their chances to keep the Lakers from getting a top 3 pick. As long as the Lakers don't have a top 3 pick, the Sixers get that one too.

Maybe 3 guys on the team right now who will be with the team either next year or in 2 years when they start playing for real (I think they play for real next year, but won't be much more than a 20-25 win team) - Okafor, Noels, and possibly TJ McConnell. Speaking of McConnell in a roundabout way, so far looks like the Sixers dodged a bullet in not picking D'Angelo Russell - that kid could be a bust, although we are certainly much too early to tell that yet. Heck, McConnell even has better stats to date than Mudiay. The rest of the Sixers roster in two years are not even on the roster yet. It'll get better.
