Maybe we shouldn't be forcing the World Series into November...

Pretty standard weather for late Oct/early Nov is 40's-50's and rain

I'm old enough to miss watching the fall classic on those sunny October days, on TV of course. Remember taking long lunches from school to watch the player intro and first inning. 1967 was my first, Tony Conigliaro being beaned, did not play in the Series or the next year. Boston may have broken the jinx with Tony and Yaz in the lineup.

Just like all the diehard Red Sox fans that came out of the woodwork.

That said, still one of the funniest things I've seen on the interwebs...

Damn. Familia came up with a bad time to get his first blown save since the Mets acquired Cespedes (who should have been credited with an error in the 1st. No way was that an inside the park home run). Oh well. Goal is 1 out of 2. DeGrom will hopefully be strong tonight.

Why not? It wasn't exactly a gimme play to make...

He ran passed the ball and was reaching back awkwardly to catch the ball. Even if you can argue that he shouldn't have made the catch, at most, it's a single or double with a 2 or 3 base error. Tough to give Harvey an earned run against on that play. Either way, the run was scored but I think you have to give some sort of error on that play.

That was an exciting game. Loved the inside the park HR to start the game, and the HR in the bottom of the 9th to give us all some free baseball. I hope this series stays exciting and fun to watch.

BUMP
So I'm gonna head to the local bagel shop again this morning and hang around for a while to see how many 'fans' are wearing their Mets gear. There were absolutely none there yesterday after game one. What's less than zero?

Cueto pitches first AL complete World Series game since Jack Morris in 1991, Game 7.

KC's batting is amazing. Only 4 strikeouts for Harvey and DeDoucheHair, who both live by the strikeout. DeDouchehair threw something like 54 fastballs last night and KC didn't miss a single one of them!

Couldn't watch the game yesterday but KC has been good. Hoping the Mets can do something in NY. Mets may live to regret that Game 1 they should have won. Can't lose when you are leading going in to the 9th.

Thor overcame a rough start and Wright came up big with 4 RBIs. Met bats are going to have to continue what they started today.

Big one tonight to try to make this a best of 3 series.

Royals just need to win one of three in NY.

After last night, make it one of two. Last night was a throwaway for them. Just forget about it and move on.

Late game relief has been hurting the Mets in the WS. Clippard has had trouble lately and led to that loss.

I think we can all agree a positive out of yesterday is that at least the Tribe beat JMU yesterday.
