My youngest son is a Joey Logano fan. We even pulled some strings to get him a JL flag personally inscribed/signed, "Happy Birthday Nolan, Joey Logano" for his birthday next month.

That being said, respectfully, fuck Joey Logano.

Another NASCAR travesty. If the drivers are afraid of being hurt in a last lap wreck they should seek new employment. If the owners can't afford to fix wrecked race cars then they should seek a new business. Race it out! With each bad decision the numbers empty seats increases.

Yep. Finally got to watch the race today. F'ing NASCAR changing the G/W/C from 3 to 1 attempts was BS. And that fucker Harvick intentionally wrecked #6 Bayne to get that caution that kept Jr from advancing. I hope someone wrecks his ass (and Logano's too) in the next round. :ohno: Throw Kyle Busch in there as well.

Well, now rootin for Truex..

Wouldn't that be justice? After being screwed out of two championships by NASCAR messing with the formula, a championship without a single win! :thumb:

Matt Kenseth is a straight up asshole.

There is payback and then there is stupidity. Kenseth not only knocked Logano loose, but then accelerated into him against the wall.

Kenseth should be suspended the first ten races of 2016, IMHO.

I and the bulk of the crowd at Martinsville disagree. The only bad thing about it was that it allowed the undisputed leader of the weasel patrol to win the race.

Of course a NASCAR crowd wants to see an intentional wreck. What's new?

Logano caused a wreck while racing for the lead at Kansas. Kenseth was out of contention, laps down, and dangerously wrecked the leader of a race. Huge difference there.

He will deserve the penalties coming his way, and they likely won't be enough. There will be plenty of monetary fines and maybe a suspension for the rest of this year, but that won't be a deterrent at all. I hope they penalize him into 2016 as a deterrent, but I doubt they will. NASCAR rarely gets anything right.

I hope Logano wins two more races this year, including Homestead, so he can give the middle finger to everyone.

There was a big difference and Kenseth should be suspended, but I hope Logano has two more DNF's, fuck him.

I've never liked Logano, but my seven year old has fallen head over heels for NASCAR, and has become a huge Logano fan.

Matt Kenseth made a seven year old cry yesterday: my seven year old; and so I hope Matt Kenseth dies a fiery, slow, painful death.

That is all.

Maybe we should take all of the aggressiveness out of NASCAR and turn it into Formula 1. Everybody loves a parade.

Aggressiveness is fine. Using no brakes to drive through a leader turning left into a turn when you are not in contention is ridiculous. I assume you're smart enough to figure that out.

Am I supposed to return the personal insult here? Is that how it works?

I'm sure you have noticed all of those empty seats at the tracks. I wonder why. Could it be that it has all become so corporate and clean? And super boring. Maybe a little conflict and controversy would help.

Now had Kenseth done the same at Talladega, Daytona, Texas or some of the other fast tracks it would be a completely different story. But he avenged himself where it could be done.

And while I have little use for Logano, I will say that I expected much more whining and moaning and bitching from him. He did neither so he came up a little in my estimation.

Now here I am at the end and I forgot the insult. Maybe next time.

No insult was intended. I was legitimately wondering if you knew the difference between racing for the lead and then bumping a slower car that was obviously blocking versus an out of contention car that was getting the blue and yellow lapper flag intentionally ramming the leader of a race. You explained that you value entertainment value over integrity, so you're entitled to that opinion.

Meanwhile, my second grader is still pissed, 24 hours later.

Kenseth, at Kansas in a points hole and needing to win to advance to the next round, was in the lead in the closing laps. Logano had already won, was automatically in the next round & didn't even have to be out there. But he wrecked Kenseth, putting him into the wall, effectively keeping Kenseth from advancing. Otherwise, Kenseth would be in the final 8 with 6 wins, most in Sprint, to 5 for Logano. Instead its the other way around. On top of that of Kansas Logano brake checked Kenseth at Dega the next week. So nothing wrong with Kenseth retaliating. Spinning him to where it took him out of contention for a win would have been appropriate paypack. Where he took it a step too far was not lifting and driving Logano into the wall with his own car, putting Logano behind the garage, and thereby ensuring that Logano can only advance to Homestead by winning. A race is a race. Regardless of the championship standings, Kenseth was blocking a faster car at Kansas. You can block the last lap of a race. You do it multiple laps and you get moved.
