I didn't think Donks read books. Unless it was Heather Has Two Mommies or some Planned Parenthood-approved drivel like that. :coffee:

Get books on CD from the library and listen while driving.
Or get audible and stream! :thumb:

Or listen to "Love Me Two Times" by the Doors for the 100,000th time in your life. :coffee:

Being wrong about a topic is called post partisanism - kalm

MAQA - putting the Q into qrazy qanon qult qonspiracy theories since 2015.

It will probably be difficult for MAQA yahoos to overcome the Qult programming but they should give being rational & reasonable a try.

Thank you for your attention to this matter - UNI88

i use the overdrive app. It connects to a bunch of libraries. I've knocked out 3 books since the start of Oct (25 min to and from work and the last hour and a half of work when I can throw headphones in, or any window time I get for work). My "goal" is to get through 2 or 3 more this year and then about 2 a month next year. With 6 driving trips to Ann Arbor and back that shouldn't be too hard

None of the books fall into this thread though.

The book I'm starting tomorrow is

I read a few chapters while eating lunch every day. I've been burning through Kindle books like firewood for a couple of years now, mostly biographies. Some recent books:

FDR and the American Crisis by Albert Marrin
Churchill by Paul Johnson
World War I, a Layman's Guide by Scott Addington (not recommended)
Battlefield America - A War on the American People by John Whitehead (meh....)
Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand
Ernest Hemingway by Charles River Editors
American Prometheus, the Triumph and Tragedy of Robert Opppenheimer by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin

Edit: I started Einstein, his life and Universe by Walter Isaacson but it was too much of a snoozer.

I think I have that one in paperback from a few years back. I don't remember much about it, but that's unfortunately not that unusual. :ohno:

Currently, i'm reading this:

It's an interesting account of the American Ambassador to Nazi Germany. Using journals, private letters and accounts you get an interesting view on Germany from the perspective of the American gov't, Americans, Germans, Nazi's and so much more. It's not a difficult read.

Has anyone read either "George Washington's Secret Six" or "Thomas Jefferson & the Tripoli Pirates"?

If so, I'd appreciate your thoughts on them. I'm looking for early American history to read next.

Check. And the Ambassador's daughter banged just about every young Nazi in Berlin.

She was reeling from a divorce. She just wanted comfort. 8-)

There is a movie being made based on this story. Natalie Portman plays Marge Dowd.
