You point out affirmative action to negate Obama's entrance to elite institutions. But, you do realize coming from a wealthy family increases your chances of getting into elite private schools greatly. And, it was even more true in the 60s than it is now.
I'll drink to that!

Careful there kalm, still a lot of butt-hurt athletic supporters of dubs here, trashing the economy, raiding the treasury, and attacking the wrong country didn't discourage 'em, at least he never shared his pizza.

As long as you understand that I am correct. Or, if I think I'm incorrect, go ahead and tell me what I'm incorrect about and why you think that. For instance: Indicate why you think it's incorrect to say that, regardless of affirmative action and things like family connections, one has to be substantially more intelligent than average to be admitted to an Ivy League school.

Or here's a good one: If you think I am incorrect in thinking that you don't have to be as intelligent to get admitted to a prestigious educational institution if you are Black as you would be if you were White and all other things about your situation were equal, make your argument as to why.

You know, make an actual argument instead of just attempting to insult people (especially people who are pretty much impervious to insults).
JSO...understand that you are talking to houndpuppy. He is not intelligent enough to understand what you are posting, and he has no ability to refute what you are saying. All he does is rant and try to get some attention.

In other words, he is his own version of Donald Trump.

I didn't mean it as an insult, John, just an observation. You like to wrap your fundamentalist beliefs in a cloak of dodgy statistics and try to pass yourself off as an impartial judge when nothing could be further from the truth. Your constant need to present yourself as a scientist probably derives from growing up with kids that were smarter than you and teased you about it. By gosh, you'll show them. :coffee:

You've already proven why it isn't hard to get into an Ivy League school as long as you have money - George W. Bush. :coffee:

No need to salute, I'll be in the area all day...

Well, in recent years, Yale has given us (on the GOP side) both Presidents Bush and (on the Donk side) President Clinton (Yale Law), Sec of State Hildabeast (Yale Law), and Sec of State John Botox Kerry. Your point?

Mansfield was respected by both parties. Reagan and Bush the Elder kept him on as ambassador to Japan.

The GOP is a complete mess. They are trying their hardest to shoot their best chance (Trump) in the foot.

Trump will NOT win the 1st vote which is Iowa, I don't know if he finishes top 2 even there & you'll hear the mainstream media go crazy saying he's done or in trouble.

After Iowa though Trump runs through the process building an impressive winning streak.

If the general election is Trump versus Hillary, can we finally acknowledge that America has a sorry-ass electorate and stop blaming problems with American government on campaign finance, Fox News, and Glenn Beck?

We on CS.com must be living in our mom's basements and disconnected from all media with all the conks here threatening to vote third party and not supporting Trump while all the donks will only support Hillary to vote against republicans if at all.

I'm not convinced the republican party would accept him even if he were the choice in the primary. Way to independent and unpredictable.
