They clearly don't have a reliable placekicking game this year though. That's one big difference from the past. Maybe they can overcome it. But they've got a big problem in that area.

They might as well pick someone out of the crowd at random at this point. :?

This is the CAA's best team, folks. If anyone hasn't listened to anything I've said about how bad the CAA is right now, well now you know.

Congrats to the NDSU dynasty.

Danny Rocco is doing better, with a couple of playoff wins this year, but he has just not been a "big game" coach for most of his career. Didn't think they would win this game, but I am surprised they are getting man-handled like they are. Embarrassing.

I guess that's one way to start a comeback: big guy ballet-ing the sideline for a long score.

Low probability but not over. Richmond looked good on that drive and has a spark of life. I've seen bigger comebacks.

Again, not likely but that was a good way for them to start the second half. And North Dakota State's placekicking woes have left the door cracked just a little bit more slightly open than it should be.

Out of curiosity ... Why does ESPN feel the need to identify on their scoreboard the state in which Richmond is located? Is it easily confused with some other Richmond?

You live in a country where I once heard of a poll where the majority of the people don't know which two countries border the contiguous United States.

More people could name the home state of Richmond than they can for Jacksonville State. :twocents:

I wouldn't have thought you would be affected by WCB.

Refs blow an offsides call against NDSU. Made it up two plays later with a PI call.

Anyone notice the ref in the 2nd quarter spotting the ball after a run that was close to a first down? He is standing about 5 yards onto the field with his foot out, showing where the ball should be spotted. Looks to be a half yard short of first down. Then he starts walking towards the middle of the field as the pile unwinds. But he walks a crooked line and by the time he got to the ball, he gained a half yard. The chain gang came out to measure and it was a first down by 4 inches.

You know if you'd have had this crew calling Sam Houston State's games in the playoffs they probably wouldn't have made it out of the first round. I say that because the Bearkats got away with a number of OBVIOUS pass interference infractions during their first two playoff games. If they'd have had THIS officiating crew they'd have been screwed.

Now the typical "North Dakota State wears you down as the game gets into the fourth quarter" thing.

Richmond hasn't been torched like that since 1865.

Well you just called the whole MVFC outside of NDSU bad, because Richmond (6-2 CAA) easily beat #2 seed ILSU (7-1 MVFC) AT ILSU no less, who was tied with NDSU for 1st..

Man, did that game play out eerily similar to the NDSU/Montana game....

The first game in the playoffs at the Fargodome is tough for anyone. CCU and GSU came back and had good games the second time around. Good chance Richmond will be back in the future.

That's similar to what we heard about the UNI Dome in '07 when UD went up there and opened a can of Flacco.
