Burnett hasn't done shit since he started out 2-0. They're bound to have a down night after the 9 game streak.

Yankees get the first two men on in the 10th, but Condrey pitches out of it.
The teams are tied 3-3 in the top of the 11th.

Phils take 2 of 3 from the Yankees.

Clay Condrey pitches two scoreless innings as the Phillies win 4-3 in 11 innings.

Even a quarter billion dollar payroll can't beat the World Champs!

Brad Lidge will be washing Carlos Ruiz's car, mowing his lawn, and shining his cleats this week. Ruiz totally saved his ass.

Ruiz had a great game today. He is an underrated player on a team with several stars.

Lidge is a concern. 4 blown saves in 12 opportunities.

Fair trade for giving you Saturday's game to avoid the humiliation of a sweep?

Phils hang on to beat the Marlins 5-3. The Phillies entered the 9th with a 5-0 lead, but the Marlins, helped by Ryan Howards first error of the year, rallied. Brad Lidge came in to record the final two outs. Florida had the tying run on 2nd base when the game ended.

Joe Blanton (3-3) pitched 7 innings allowing 5 hits and stiking out 11.

Not too many "laughers" for the Phils this year. With that staff, there will be a lot of nailbiters.

I can understand that with regards to the Phils starting pitching, it's been pretty bad so far this year. But the bullpen is supposed to be one of the best. Even with a subpar Brad Lidge, a 5-0 lead in the 9th should be safe.

Phils lose aonther series at home, dropping a 6-2 decision to the Florida Marlins.

The Phillies are 16-6 on the road, but a woeful 9-14 at home.

The Phils have only won one home series all year, against the woeful Nats. Guess who's coming to town this weekend? ;)

WTF!?! Losing 2 out of 3 to the friggin Marlins & they didn't even throw a starter out last night - UNACCEPTABLE. Is this team going to dawdle around until September again or do the proper thing & leave the NL East in the dust......
