I'll be the anti-poster to many in the recent posts I've seen in this thread. I'm 100% behind Trump right now, honestly I wanted Christie but I'm a realist - he ain't going to have much of a chance unless he surges in NH.

Cruz & Rubio or Rand who has faded are votes for the status quo. Let's face it, the American democracy that we've crowed about our entire lives, it doesn't exist anymore. Washington is the do-nothing crowd for way too long, the country runs on auto-pilot at times. Bipartisanship is a thing of the past. Congress for the most part is a gang of bought, polarized, gutless fools - both parties.

There's another thread on here about the Governor of TX wanting to have a new Constitutional Congress called, that won't fly - but a message to the establishment that your time will be toppled if you don't fix things & work together - for the electorate - I believe at least that may. You want to shake up Washington - put Trump in. If some members of Congress want to stall and block legislation or budgets, did you see Bush or Obama do shat about it? Trump will call them out - he'll work with them & try to get deals done - & if they still won't play ball then the Donald will most likely skewer them.

Answer this question simply: Is Washington DC broken? If you're not answering yes, well Jesus pay attention. Do you really think any candidate other than Trump can really create changing the answer?

Yes, Washington is broken. No, Trump can't fix it. You can't build a wall by executive order: you need Congressional appropriations to finance it, because he can't bully Mexico into paying for it. Trump can't, and won't, work with Congress, or even his own party-du-jour. It will be the ultimate trainwreck. Be careful what you wish for.

If it's actually possible to do so, he could be even less effective than this president.

So what you're saying then is get ready for at least four more years of business as usual, as the problems facing Washington & America continue to become more deeply rooted?

BHB, c'mon. Snap out of it. Trump is a buffoon. He just throws shit out to see if it will stick. He has no clue. His big thing is that he'll fix everything because he knows how to make deals. Really? He thinks being involved in Real Estate deals means he's ready to be President. He's a joke. An embarrassment.

People challenge him with serious questions and his answers are things like, "I'm ahead in the polls" and "they're dishonest." He has YET to give a serious answer to a serious question. At least not that I can think of. HE DOES NOT KNOW.

Again: He just proposed a 45% tariff on Chinese goods. Now, I don't think he's serious in terms of having actually thought about the impacts of that and decided it's a good thing to do. He just knows if he throws that out some people will like it. But that would be an absolute disaster. The Chinese aren't afraid of Trump. They'll eat him for lunch. He's a joke.

C'mon man! The man is a CLOWN.

Another thing I think about from time to time:

That thing where he said he kind of thinks he likes people in the military better if they don't get captured when referring to John McCain. Now, you can dislike John McCain. But do you want a Commander in Chief who would say something like that? Here you have this Cotton Candy Haired pussy putting down somebody getting captured during warfare. Like HE would try to fly a jet into hell like John McCain did or HE would go into the hell others have gone into before being captured. WHAT an asshole.

How can anybody POSSIBLY consider voting for somebody who would say something like that to be Commander in Chief?

I mean really. To me when he said that he should've been done. But these mindless idiots out there who are for some reason supporting him continued to support him. It's just unbelievable. The guy is a vacant egomaniac. He has no business being in ANY public office.

I am still undecided on this but do think any of the GOP would be better than the dems.

One thing I have noticed about Trump is that none of his business associates have come out against him. Even Geraldo Rivera who disagrees on policy, says good things about the man.

That's what I don't get - Trump's been going on and on about jacking up tariffs on everybody for goods coming into this country, and demanding that other countries drop their tariffs on American goods going to those countries. Because we're America. That's almost verbatim the economic principle that kalmie has been pushing on this site for the past two years. So why isn't kalmie campaigning hard for the Donald? Or is he and he's just not owning up to it???

1) I've threatened to vote for Trump and might still do it. (IAH, more for the chaos than any position)

2) My basic stance on trade is to leverage our markets to benefit the American people rather than multinational corporations. It's really just another part of the trickle-down debate.

Why does Ganny hate the American people and not want to take full advantage of our economic position?

Well he said the tariff with a caveat- IF China continues to manipulate their currency. Think he stated their manipulation is currently the equivalent to about a 45% tariff on US goods..Is that true? I have no idea.
