Re: NFC Championship Game
Toss up, going home team. This is the better of the conference championship games imo.
Re: NFC Championship Game
Will reserve my pick until gameday. This is a tough one.

Re: NFC Championship Game
Carson Palmer just hasn't looked right the past couple games (vs. Seattle in the last week of the regular season, and Green Bay game yesterday). If he doesn't improve, it could be a lopsided Carolina victory.

Re: NFC Championship Game
I would like the Cardinals to win only because I don't have a dog in the fight and would like to see Fitzgerald get a ring. That being said this is a really tough call but I went with Carolina based on the strength of their defense.

Depends on if it's first half Carolina or second half Carolina. Cards won't have much say.

Carolina has the defense and Carson Palmer (as was already stated) looks shaky at best lately

Did Seattle have much say in the different Carolinas we saw?

Re: NFC Championship Game
Even looking "shaky" (and he certainly missed some throws), Palmer did still put up a 92 passer rating. About 12 points below his season average, but still good.Chizzang wrote:Carolina has the defense and Carson Palmer (as was already stated) looks shaky at best lately
If this contest comes down to the passing games, and it might given that these are both top-10 run Ds, the Cardinals have to be favored.

They have 3 very good wide receivers - and Palmer throws a deadly long ball
But Carolina has a way of making teams not play well

True. And Carolina is missing two of their starting DB's. Should be interesting.Mvemjsunpx wrote:Even looking "shaky" (and he certainly missed some throws), Palmer did still put up a 92 passer rating. 31 points in the first half
0 points in the 2nd half
That was all Carolina's fault?

Re: NFC Championship Game
So, essentially Seattle had very little to do with the outcome of that game.89Hen wrote:All, no. Mostly, yes.AZGrizFan wrote:

Some. If the Panthers play the way they did in the first half, the Cards don't have a chance.AZGrizFan wrote:So, essentially Seattle had very little to do with the outcome of that game.89Hen wrote: All, no. Mostly, yes.

We will see.
And Arizona doesn't need to stop it, just needs to have the better offense.

Re: NFC Championship Game
Panthers have the better defense & QB - I go with Carolina.
I don't want to hear any whining from the Cardinals camp about travelling either with the storm, it wouldn't have been that hard to place a call to Dabo Swiney or South Carolina's coach & asked to use their facility for practice this week. Final Four time - no excuses. If they can't fly into Charlotte & have to bus it from somewhere else so be it.
