So you think Alabama signs big monster running backs?

Post by JohnStOnge »

Just used that title because of another thread about big Alabama running backs. I was listening to radio on LSU's signing class today and I heard the guy mention a running back he described as 6'1",255 pounds. I thought good GRIEF that's a thick running back. Looked the guy up on Rivals later and they have him listed at 6'0", 258. So I looked up some video on him. Below is a clean one. When it gets to the game highlights just remember that the guy you see leaping over people and outrunning everybody else weighs 250+ pounds.

Only problem is LSU might want him to be a linebacker because he played that position in high school too. But I think I'd at least TRY him at running back.

They also build them.

Alabama also has a $600k per year strength coach.

Well, LSU has Tommy Moffit, a legend in that area, as its strength and conditioning coach.

The difference between Alabama and LSU hasn't been players or physical ability overall. If anything LSU tends to be a little more athletic. LSU's got more players in the NFL than Alabama does at this moment (47 to 42) and it's recently always been close in that area between the two. It's been one position...quarterback...and probably game coaching.
