It's not a matter of how great Rubio is. Trump is the problem. If Christie was going to engage in that kind of thing he should've been directing it at the problem.

Not in terms of exective leadership experience, which is one of the most important qualifications for POTUS. Disagree with him all you want, but in terms of executive experience he is near/at the top of the field. The candidates that have the most are Trump, Fiorina and the 3 governors..
