Yup, which is something we still haven't heard from Trump. All we get is "I'm a good negotiator and I'm better than you, look at my polls". That's great Donald, but how exactly will you get it done? He was close to putting together some details on the Mexico wall but didn't quite connect the dots...maybe next time...CAA Flagship wrote:From the beginning of the campaign cycle, I have been trying to pay attention to the substance and details. Re: 2016 Republican Primary
Again, the details do not really matter. Who among the voting public knows the best way to handle any of the issues? Nobody knows what all the tools and/or restrictions are. Illegal immigration, trade pacts, Planned Parenthood, ISIS, Iran deal, budget, taxes, debt, etc., etc., etc. Once a person becomes POTUS, they sit him down and begin laying out all the secrets. Whatever "plan" they may have had during the campaign may be shot full of holes once they determine all the levels of resistance. The only thing we can truly go with is the general goal. How they get there, or what percentage of that goal they are able to achieve, will be dependent on having all the facts laid out in front of him. So don't get too hung up on the details.SDHornet wrote:Yup, which is something we still haven't heard from Trump. All we get is "I'm a good negotiator and I'm better than you, look at my polls". I agree but I'm not saying he needs to layout the nitty gritty details. A general concept would be nice, certainly more than "I'm a better negotiator than you are, I'm great".CAA Flagship wrote:Again, the details do not really matter. The problem with a candidate actually providing a road map to their plans if they get into office...everyone knows that Presidents don't bother adhering to those plans once they get into office.SDHornet wrote:I agree but I'm not saying he needs to layout the nitty gritty details. Close Gitmo? Troops out of Afghanistan and Iraq? Punish Wall Street? Help the middle class?
Seriously, no wonder people no longer want to listen to campaign promises...the candidates are simply lying their azzes off. Hillary...says she always was clear on gay rights.
As I've said, I would LOVE to have Trump versus Bernie. Split the parties from their extremists and maybe we can get on with helping our country instead of catering to the whack jobs in our country and those around the world.
We need a third party...badly.
