Tesla needs to build a pickup. My 2005 Tundra is only gonna last another 15 years or so. Amirite, Chizzy?

Tesla is doing great work, but I think they're going to be toast once EV's start becoming mainstream. GM and Ford will eat their lunch with far lower production costs. But in the meantime, more power to 'em.

He doesn't want to be in the car business. He wants to be in the battery and power business. He'll own both the battery production facilities and the supercharging station network. Much like in computers, where the money is in the software....the real money in EV is in the power/battery production. Building the cars is just a means to an end.

Go f8ck yourself. 20% of people probably wouldn't be in the market for an electric car.

So far, 0% of people here have answered the question about the environmental impact of electric cars and their batteries.

I'll look it up people...I swear I will. And I'll give a JSO report about it. Fvck my post count.

Thanks.

So, not many places for used batteries right now...and a whole bunch of them coming to the end of their lives.

Now, let's follow the environmental trail to the cost of mining the materials and add that to the equation. Is mining worse than oil drilling?

So what does a tesla car cost these days? 75K? Assuming 75K for a new tesla, 25K for a new fuel car, 100,000 miles of driving, 40mpg fuel efficiency for a fuel car, gas/diesel would have to be about $20 a gallon to equal out. I am not factoring in the electricity to charge tesla either.

Teslas are cool I guess but I won't be buying one anytime soon.

Comparing a Tesla S to a $25K car is slightly misleading... and also kinda dumb
Now if you are a $25K car customer then SURE okay, let me save you some time
Tesla wasn't designed for YOU, please move along...

But there are a TON of $75K car guys in the world
and the Tesla S stands up well against that competition
