It does exist. This is the positive, reasonable side of it.

Now we have the political establishment going to their billionaire check writers to fund their banal super PACs. Super PACs have become a way for the GOP to avoid talking to voters. Luckily, the super PACs have proven to be impotent, and if donors are dumb enough to dump another $50 million into the corrupt political-consultant sinkhole, so be it.

The same party elites who have told us that we conservatives have to hold our noses and vote for Bob Dole or George W. Bush or Romney now say they will bolt the party if Trump is the nominee. Who's going to hand the election to Clinton in this spat? The party is cracking up. It's the establishment and the check writers versus the working class in America.

Interesting POV, but it's factually incorrect in one big way. These Trump voters are not long-term Republicans. They're not even conservatives. They're just following the charismatic figurehead, and they couldn't care less about remaking the GOP along more "centrist" lines (socially liberal/ economically conservative, but don't touch my entitlements). If Drumpf loses, they'll just flock to the next rich guy who promises them everything.

Me personally? As I have written on this board I will probably vote "third party" if Trump wins the Republican nomination. But there is even a possibility that I will vote for the Democrat. If it looks like Louisiana is contested I will do that.

The reason? I disagree with Hillary and Bernie. But at least they are sane, rational human beings. Trump has several screws loose. He is dangerous. You can't put a whack job like that into that position. You just can't.

It is the Establishment. It's the Republican "overlords", "elites", "gatekeepers" whatever you want to call them, that don't like Trump. The establishment, the base is voting for him.


If 48% of Republicans say they won't vote for Trump, then explain his success. It's not Democrats fleeing the left.
