I met another hippie business owner yesterday. Took the boys bikes in for a tune up to this little neighborhood shop. The owner has a crow named Socrates that he rescued after it fell out of the nest and was abandoned as a fledgling. Turns out, crows are amazing animals and smarter than half the peeps on this message board. He wears Birkenstocks, and tends to his garden while keeping an eye on the store.

Anyhoo, I asked him how business was and he casually threw a couple of political points into the conversation as he was working on the bikes. He owns the shop and his wife is a teacher and a real estate agent. Towards the end he asked if it was safe to assume I was a lefty. I said absolutely but if it came down to Hillary vs. Trump, I would probably vote for Trump.

His eyes narrowed and he jokingly (at least I think) said you can leave now.

Gawdamm hippie businessmen are everywhere!

But voting for Trump vs. Hildacock: was that the old "if someone put a gun to my head" canard? 8-)

But, but, but, post-partisan!

Your mistake, (and don't feel bad, it's a common one) is in 1) not recognizing how broken the system is and 2) taking Trump seriously. Either Trump or Sanders would be fine. The establishment would be weakened at least a little, and America would still be OK.

And yes, post partisan (that's apparently as aggravating as the notion of hippies running businesses  ) I've sworn off voting for either party in national elections, and I'm still voting for the Big Johnson. :thumb:

Trump would be an absolute disaster for the country. I won't go all JSO on you, but I'd probably put the gun in my mouth if that turns out to be the choice. And yes, I still have a few old Big Johnson t-shirts from my college days... 8-)

And hippies are among the most successful cannabis farmers and Uber drivers in the USA!

They should be. That's smart business.

Oh...btw...those dirty hippies did $700 million in sales last year and paid a good chunk in taxes too...
Pot is a boon for tax revenues in Colorado, outpacing revenue from alcohol taxes in the fiscal year ending on June 30.

Colorado collected almost $70 million in marijuana taxes during that time, nearly double the $42 million collected from alcohol taxes. The state had a tax holiday for marijuana on Wednesday, an event that was welcomed by consumers and producers alike.

Yeah, not so much.

Some might think it's good business until I walk in the door produce my credentials and introduce myself. It makes it that much better if its in front of their employees or clients or family etc. :thumb:

Tax cheats cross all political affiliations, but three of the five worst ones I've ever had to deal with were women. Two of the three cried.

When it comes to taxes, money, and finances, the longest haired hippie with the biggest bong is also the biggest Conk in the room.

Due to the nature of the business, and because every state in the country (not to mention the Feds) have their eyes on the pot industry, those dirty hippies are under an electron microscope by the state of Colorado.

Well, I believe that I must tell the truth

But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

No, John. Electing Trump would be far better in the long run than electing Clinton. The establishment needs to take a hit.

Student accused of violating university 'safe space' by raising her hand
A university student was threatened with being thrown out of a meeting after being accused of violating “safe space” rules - by raising her hand.

Imogen Wilson, the vice-president for academic affairs at Edinburgh University Students’ Association (EUSA), spoke out against safe space rules becoming “a tool for the hard left to use when they disagree with people”, following the incident last week.

Ms Wilson, 22, was subject to a “safe space complaint” over her supposedly “inappropriate hand gestures” during a student council meeting.

“Safe space is essential for us to have a debate where everyone can speak, but it can’t become a tool for the hard left to use when they disagree with people.”
Imogen Wilson
According to the association’s rules, student council meetings should be held in a “safe space environment”, defined as “a space which is welcoming and safe and includes the prohibition of discriminatory language and actions”.

This includes “refraining from hand gestures which denote disagreement”, or “in any other way indicating disagreement with a point or points being made”.

this is one of the few things that will cause me to rant

think of it as my Trump to JSO topic

Scotland is the home of some of the most asinine imported liberalist leadership that wAs ever shat onto a country - literally from the early 1600s with the founding of the Ulster Plantation until the end of the clearances in the mid 1700s- and Scot with an ounce of fight or work ethic in them left.

what was left behind were loyalists on the royal dole

what really pisses me off is how stupid and gullible Americans of Scottish descent are- just go to one of these highland games or festivals... the Charleston games is an example- they always have some asshole inbred Scottish chieftain as guest of honor, asking for donations to maintain his fvxking castle in the highlands because it is somehow the duty of the descendants of the people who his great great great great great grandfather royalist shithead father threw off his land at the behest of the English parliament to make room for sheep

now theyre as inbred as Oregon Mormans except they have these hereditary estates in Scotland that they cant keep up because their only source of welfare- the Crown- is shrinking and they Are so inbred and stupid that they can't fathom making a buck outside of what is given to them because of their title or by what dumbass Scottish Americans an Aussies and Canucks donate to them

fcvk them. I go to Scotland to see Scotland but the natives can suck my Gunn martial-pioneer ASS
