Jr., on old tires, slips from 2nd to 5th on overtime restart.
20/20 hindsight: should have came in on that last caution.
Probably, but Jr's pit stall location and his crew's performance this year to date don't convince me that he'd have gotten out in 2nd place anyway. 5th might have been his spot regardless.

Matt Yokum is an idiot. He comes up to Junior for the post race pit interview and says "Last 2 races Phoenix Junior 1st and a 2nd". :dunce: Then after interviewing Junior and Junior talking about the restart, how he faded to finish 5th, Yokum ends with "Dale Junior 2nd here at Phoenix". Yokum, did you watch the end of the race with the Harvick-Edwards 1-2 photo finish, dumbass?

Oh man. Kyle Larson crushes the inside wall almost head on. Alert and apparently not seriously injured. Kudos to SAFER barriers. That'll be all over the highlights tomorrow.

Larson. Lucky he over-rotated past direct head-on just a hair.:

Truex had a top 3 car, most of 1st 150 laps ran top 3 and led some laps. Then with about 50 laps to go while running 4th that squinty, douchy eyed Logano gets Truex loose and Truex's right rear slams the wall, forcing him to make an unscheduled pit stop, where he got nailed for speeding on pit road. Then after coming in to serve the penalty the caution comes out. Finishes 32nd...You can add another driver to the rather long list who doesn't like Logano..

I guess you weren't a Dale Earnhardt Sr. fan then. That guy "got people loose" just about every race. Boo hoo.

50 second mark, walking over halfway up the apron of a live racetrack, post Tony Stewart/Kevin Ward Jr has to be a penalty/fine..

Just because your son is a Logano fan doesn't mean he's not a dickhead.

Radioactive from Autoclub. At one point Harvick going off on Logano, then Hamlin, then Truex...

Perhaps Joey Logano should permanently engrave his name on the Virginia Lottery Pole Award at Martinsville Speedway.

In claiming the top starting spot for Sunday’s STP 500, the driver of the No. 22 became the first driver since Jeff Gordon to win three straight poles at the historic half-mile racetrack.

Might as well since he can't seem to get in engraved on a clock... unlike Gordon's NINE clocks. 8-)

Or Petty's 15 or Waltrip's 11.

I've come to the realization that without Gordon driving, I just don't care anymore. I did have a dream last night that he asked me to drive the 24 in a race. It was Daytona, but it wasn't an oval.

If you're a NASCAR fan, you should be worried. I was the previous casual fan that became a much bigger fan via 24 and not I've lost interest. Could be a bigger trend.
