He's better than past Popes, but that's such a low standard that it's laughable if these issues weren't so serious.

But Charlotte refused to follow the lead of cities like San Francisco by simply mandating separate, gender neutral bathrooms. Instead, they preferred to push the issue.

This is an example of relying on the mob instead of going with a simple compromise that would have respected the rights of transgendered people and would not have goosed the legislature.
